Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Movie)
Having just came home from the midnight release, I have to say I'm very impressed with the way the movie turned out.
I feel this movie was better adapted than any of the other films (except the 1st maybe). In fact, I feel all of the key elements from the sixth book made it into the movie. Sure, there were some discrepencies here and there (and a particularly large one in the beginning) but they really don't affect the film that much. All in all, glad I went. Awesome film. Deathly Hallows plox.

Also, I heard Rupert Grint, the guy who plays Ron had the swine flu away back. =0 |

I went and saw this at midnight as well and I thought it was pretty good. They really could've focused a lot less on the teenage romance/loldrama scenes and stuck with the actual important stuff though. They covered most of the important scenes, so overall I was pleased.

The Dumbledore death scene was very well done in my opinion. I wish some of the fight scenes were longer, but overall it was a really good movie.

Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Movie)
I can only hope that after 5 movies they learned how to make a good harry potter movie.
Teen drama isn't something that interests me though. |

true that +1, i think the actress that plays Luna is hotter though , and to be honest this wasn't one of my favorite harry potters, but it was pretty good, still worth seeing at midnight IMO, id give it a 4/5 stars.

No, Maybe just the ones you read. But really you are probably just putting emotion into my posts that isn't there.

Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Movie)
I have a problem with the whole flying death eaters thing.
What the heck is going on when they're flying about and all this black smoke is being spurted out behind them??! Is that really necessary? Seriously, Rowling made a point in the books to say that the only two people who were ever ever able to fly without a broom were Voldemort and Snape. And neither of them gave off an insane amount of exhaust.

Quote:
This film is not the first time it has appeared either. You may recall that they used the same effect in Order of the Phoenix, and the Order actually used a similar effect except in white. It really is a minor thing anyway. There are tons of instances of wizards performing magic in the films without the aid of a wand when it would have been necessary in the book. Other things like Sirius appearing in the fireplace should be more troubling for you (his face was made of burning logs, what?). And don't even get me started on the inconsistencies with the patronus even within the single film of Order of the Phoenix (they go out of their way to say that a "full-bodied" charm is most difficult, and while many of the students do it in training, Harry's own which should take the form of a stag never does so, except ONLY in the first run through of events in Prisoner of Azkaban). Basically, it's a movie. Don't be too mad about the changes. ps for the movie myself, I thought it was great. Best one probably. A lot of people are upset they removed the huge fight at the school, but I think it's fine. Anyway, those folks will be getting an epic fight at the school at the climax of movie 8 so who cares.

Re: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Movie)
i should remind you that not everyone has seen this movie yet
Anyways, I saw people camping out at my movie theater, and some crazy family set up a big ass tent and brought a big DLP TV. I loled, they watched it until the movie started. |
