Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver

The Pokemon cartoon series has caused hysteria among kids, teenagers, and adults. The Pokemon games
have caused hysteria among everybody all of the aforementioned. Well, Pokemon will cause hysteria once again as it is now official that a couple of Pokemon remakes will hit the streets this fall. It has been long rumored and expected, however, the Pokemon Gold and Silver will be reviewed and with the special occasion of the tenth anniversary, Nintendo DS fans will get their hands on the remakes.

That's amazing news, seeing as gold used to be my favorite Pkmn game ever and I'm done with Diamond. (which was kinda disappointing)

I always thought that they would be making a Johto Remake for the GBA.

Yes, I'm excited for it. Now I get to walk memory lane with the game (though, still have my Gold and Silver, just no GBA).

Finally Johto is revisted. I was hoping that they wouldn't skip revisiting the Johto region, especially since Gold and Silver were my favorite. I hope they don't bring back the cell phone feature though.

edit: Actually, I won't mind if it was brought back as long as they don't have the trainers calling for rebattles.

Cool lol.

Gold/Silver were my favorite games, just because of traveling between two regions was fun, and there wasn't any of that National Pokedex crap. Some 2nd gen pokemon were good too. :/

Hopefully they implement a different rebattling system instead of the trainers calling you 90% of the time to tell you random things.

Sounds epic! G/S/C were my faves! Finally, 16 badges again.

EDIT: Just looked on serebii. They said that the NA version is only coming out in 2010.

they didnt redo yellow, so i doubt theyll redo crystal.
i have also agree on G/S being the best. i remember looking everywhere for the rainbow feather in Silver so i could get to Ho-oh. i went to every town, talked to every person, and finally found the guy in kanto. its just some dude walking around that most ppl would ignore

Can't wait. Looks amazing, I'll be doing the same thing with it that I did with Platinum; get the Japanese version of the game before it's even released in Japan (which is like 6 months before it's released in the US) and I'll play my heart away, seeing how Pokemon GS were THE best games in the series, period.

re-make of the best pokemon versions? hell yes.

argument: back in the day, the new pokemon coming out were a HUGE deal since the craze had been on for a while with the first 151. The game delivered the same classic gameplay with added features for pokemon (aka holding, happiness etc.) Also, the game allowed you to go back in the kanto region to obtain 16 badges. This idea was probably one of the main reasons the game was so awesome and kept die-hard fans well entertained for a while. It kept all the familiar characters from red/blue and carried on the story 3 years later. You also got to chill with Lance outside of the elite four. Like its fucen LANCE gaize. This game also has the most epic pokemon last battle. Battle vs. Red. Like holy **** who would've expected it? Pikachu lvl 81. Nobody had ever seen a trainer battle with such high leveled pokemon in-game. The soundtrack was also quite awesome with its classic 8bit tunes. In all, this game is ****ing epic and holds most of my childhood memories along with red/blue.

I forgot, the music was great in gold/silver. I hope they still keep the music awesome and make it more awesome.
