First sig ever

so yeah, i have never really done this before. Just got photoshop yesterday, trying to figure it out, make it work and what not

any comments

ideas

suggestions?

try focusing on only one kind of effect on each sig, or atleast do the effect throughout the sig for all the effects (diff layer). unless your want focus on certain areas. In this one the focus would be at the white cross thing, where theres nothing there.

Hmm... it's not bad. Try and be more attentive on the way each layer blends into the other. Also, maybe try and use fewer brushes, and use more of your own work - use filters/transform/pen tool to make your own tools - it may be frustrating at first, but it's sooo much more help later.

Oh, also, maybe consider following some tutorials to learn some cool/useful effects. I'd suggest going to PSD Tuts, because they have some extremely high-quality tutorials, and they teach some very helpful techniques while you go through the tutorials. They also provide many good tools for graphical artists, such as brushes, and other stuff.

Ok, again, like chidor! said, ALWAYS USE .PNG FORMAT WHEN SAVING.

.jpg's are lossy, and you can tell that they're not original quality, so I'd advise that you always use .png, since they look like they do when you see them in photoshop.

Not bad for starters. I'm not crazy about the text, however. Seems no different than something I'd import in from some Microsoft Word text art; another thing I'd do is feather the edges more on your crops. I can still see pixels, which are a big nono. Other than that, good job for starters.

3 Great ways to make a signature look fantastic! The more you become familiar with PS the better your signatures are going to look. Tuts are a great way to become familiar with your tools. Let your mind wander and be creative.
