Default Ow...ow...ow...

Seriously, my wrists are sore as hell, but I got my first two HSMP song passes on their hardest difficulty last night! (And some other random stuff, too.)

The first one, Minion133's Drove Through Ghosts To Get Here, I don't have a results screen of because I was too excited, but I did manage to go back and SS the C grade and score I managed to achieve on it.

The second one, a version of Will My Heart Survive (there are multiple ones out there, it turns out...this is XOX's one with the 32nd trills being the only difficult bits), this time I had the common sense to get a screen of (this was my second pass in a row, by the way, just to see if I could go back-to-back):

And some other random crap that you guys probably won't give a rat's ass about:

1 CB on the easy version of Vertex Gamma (this is the stripped-down 150 bpm version, not the 300 bpm one you guys are probably familiar with):

Nemesis heavy sightread (what, you actually thought a guy like me could pass the oni?):

I got better at Please Listen Heavy, too.

More scores when my wrists recover and I'm able to sort out my recent shots from the older ones. (I'm running on two cans of Coke right now after staying up until 4 in the morning, OK?) X_X

90s on Drove through ghosts? Perhaps you mean 180s, and that isn't too easy. :P Aim for 165 or 170 first, shouldn't be too hard. It's a weird file anyways.

You should try increasing that MA first before doing weird and/or hard and/or dump files.

play more stepmaniers

Good to see you playing files that present day people actually know. MA is improving which is nice but I suggest playing some MA files instead of HSMP stuff, even if you're playing most of the files on the low difficulty.

Also turning your Cmod up will help you read better.

Back to 10 footers and their ilk, I guess, but not before this happened last night:

I knew I had it as soon as I saw the CB count. Woot.

that cb on the last file actually is really high to be a AA, but still nicely done.

Will my heart survive is tough to pass if you can't jack so nicely done there too.

I do suggest sticking to files around the difficulty of identity for now, so you can build up your reading and control before you try to go in and mash passes on files like Drove through ghosts to get here.

Although, if you really do enjoy to play hard songs you said you can't pass Nemesis, but I think you could get it pretty easily in one or two tries.

You don't know me very well, do you? (Damn 32nds...I tend to fall apart at speeds over 15 taps per second)

As for those who suggested upping my cmod: Sounds like a plan, but that would mean I'd have to find the file that controls what appears on the options screen all over again. >_< Still, I'll look into it.

I was just guessing you could do it based on some of the other scores you posted.

Keep working though you should be able to get it down with some hard work and practice.

So anyway, I heard the original MMPR theme the other day from somewhere, and I remembered a file in the database that some N8 guy made that had a 188 bpm 12th jumpspam section that I found hard back then. I thought I could do better on it because I thought it was hard a couple years ago and I thought I had gotten better since then.

Then I discovered the SM editor, which lets me avoid tanking my score just to try to get a good shot of a certain section of a song. It was then I found out that the R2 engine doesn't support mines, and as a result, I can never survive to the second verse.

Of course, the jumpspam that works out to 9.4 taps per second is still hard as well...even with mines off, I've only passed that section once so far. >_<

To make up for this utter failure, I bring you a single digit CB run of TEEX's TTFAF.

Of course, both files are available in the database. Links coming shortly.

Edit: Links are up.
TTFAF: http://www.studenteducation.net/sims...hp?songid=3331
MMPR: http://www.studenteducation.net/sims...hp?songid=5848

And as a bonus, a link to the MagnaTrick re-edit of MSWGO that I keep posting, just so you guys can see how ridiculously easy it is compared to some of the other versions out there.
