yea, that's already on here in the U.S. I prefer the Japanese one though because it has a lot more retarded shapes and their expressions make me laugh x3!!!

Re: BBC making version of human tetris (hole in the wall)
I remember watching the Japanise one on Youtube, then before going out with the better half seeing the one on BBC.
Looked fun, but nothing like the Japanise one. Plus I'm sick of everything on TV for some reason NEEDING these " celebrities " to play the games or shows. So much funner when it was normal folk. |

Yeah, It happened here in Australia too. Initally it rated surprisingly well (lots of idiots watch TV here) then I think people get over it after like 2 episodes. The concept can only go so far.

Re: BBC making version of human tetris (hole in the wall)
I don't know exactly how the BBC is handling the show, but over here in America, they screwed it up horribly.
Yes, they still do the exact same thing as in the Japanese show. But it's not done correctly. If you look around YouTube for Japanese game show videos, you'll find that they're primarily supposed to be sources of entertainment, both for the contestants and the viewers. Many shows seem to focus on humiliating the contestants for the entertainment of the audience (and the contestants themselves, because apparently they can actually laugh at themselves). However, in America, most game shows are for the contestants to -win- something. As such, they tend to have a serious overtone (see Who Wants to be a Millionare, Deal or No Deal, etc.) rather than a casual, let's-have-fun overtone. The American version of "Hole in the Wall" took the original Japanese game and put it in an American game show environment, which causes it to fail horribly. Spotlights, a dark room, serious hosts, etc., which is not how the game was supposed to be played. The end result is a feeling of discordance that turns you off from the show. |

Re: BBC making version of human tetris (hole in the wall)
I agree with you, Relambrien; I watched the Japanese version a long time ago and it was funny and enjoyable. I happened to be watching TV when the American version came on and it was a whole different story. It just seems so game-showy and lame. There is a commercial break after each attempt, though I don't know if this is normal or not because the Youtube version of the Japanese show is edited of course. The contestants are so annoying and idiotic (at least from the first episode- I didn't bother watching it again). The show didn't draw me in at all. They messed up, I really don't see this version going anywhere.
As for the BBC version, maybe they can do better. But it seems to be hard to make a decent version of this show. |

BBC version was a joke. Anything with Vanessa Felts is as default but the show didn't need her for the fail. It already was.
Get your own Ideas you unimaginative jakeholes. Now get those celebrities on Takeshi's Castle and I'd watch that.
