Stepmania (MAJOR PROBLEMS THAT I NEED FIXING)

I will try my best to explain this problem that I have been having since I d/l'ed SM 3.95. Bear wiff me DX

I have had issues with SM ever since I got it. Notifications pop up before I play anything, but I ignore them because it doesnt affect my gameplay. However, I still dont understand why its fcuking up:

This pops up before I reach the music selection screen. I choose ignore and nothing is affected (obviously something, but still)

This pops up when I enter the song options. Ok...

Here's something different. I decided to run a theme for SM, but I got this familiar notification. The following pic shows what happens when I chose "ignore" as usual:

Fcuking crashes. And it happens every time without fail as long as I have some theme going on. WHICH URKS ME SO MUCH.

Other than the provided screenshots showing my problems, there are a couple of others... songs without backgrounds tend to show another message, along with songs without banners. But when I come across a song without a banner(this is only some, not all of them), as soon as I click ignore the song wheel is stuck scrolling right... and it doesnt stop until I either spam left and right a few times, or go to song options, wait a few seconds and return back to song selection. Then its fine. Also, accounting to some of then songs I have without backgrounds... its pink(the background, yes). But that was when I was using sm4, and I havent had THAT particular issue since.

So yeah, this insanely long thread is about SM screwing me over. Can someone please help me??? I would like to run SM without any of this getting in the way.

sm5 on the other hand is being worked on by a team of people that know what they are doing, there are some bugs here and there, but because its active development a load of bugs get fixed

This doesn't solve the problem, it just doesn't allow the pop-ups which means it'd still crash.

@elijah - The metrics located in the theme are just missing a few options. As for switching themes, it looks like their isn't even an option to go to the "SelectMusic" page which is causing the crash.

You probably should be a brave soul and move to SM5 and off 3.95. Just make sure to get better noteskins.

For some reason, the 3D ones don't work on my SM5. The step panel doesn't even show up.

I wonder when jousway's gonna release his sm 3.95 default theme for sm5. This would certainly get more people to use sm5.

I dont wanna down 3.95 D: But I was curious about SM5, just didnt know if it had even more problems than 3.95 or not. :/

@Elijah - SM5 is way more stable than 3.95. SM5 is just still adding in new features and such but it will be the main SM for the upcoming years.

@Jousway Metal+, Cel+ and Trax+ don't work on my SM5 at all. No step panel either.

thats wierd, they should just work fine :/
the trax+ I gave you was for openitg, maybe you are trying to use the openitg versions instead of the sm5 versions

I couldn't either until I modified the gameplay screen to look pretty much exactly like the sm 3.95 theme. Now I can't tell the difference. I can upload my sm-ssc/sm5 theme mod if you'd like.
