Re: The Speedrunning Thread
ask anyone in the #kbo crew how quickly I can ejaculate (lmfao)
been thinking about speedrunning Skies of Arcadia: Legends. I know the game inside and out. Maybe I could beat the current WR, which is 12 hours, 9 minutes.

Hey, I speedrun Tetris Attack too. Also, Pokemon Puzzle League and Tetris. I suck at Dr.Mario, but I'll still do 0-10. (and SM64)

I used to speedrun MMX and Doom -- both are a lot of fun to optimize

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
trick withheld by the SM illuminati finally coming to life after years.
incredibly hard and precise, and the cost of failure is huge. but with practice really consistent. Even got it in an RTA. #metagame

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Interesting that the programmers didn't think someone would try to do that.
Welp, you learn something new every day. |

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
have you tried doing orb at all on smw? my pb was almost exactly the same as yours before i learned how to do it. then i improved my pb by a full minute after learning it. and now i'm sitting at 11:08 as my pb. haven't tried any other categories yet though. i don't have the patience to do 96 exit and haven't practiced any other categories

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Recently I have been learning the paths for Amnesia Speedruns. My fastest time so far is 40:33 which was my second attempt ever. My goal is to get under 35. I will post my livestream when I start it again ^ _ ^

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
the glitch (idk how you perform it), that somehow gets the finish orb in your backup item box thing, and you use it at the beginning of castle 1

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
I know you can get a finish orb when Yoshi eats a Chargin' Chuck (so sayeth the tool-assisted runners). Never beat SMW, though. Beating Morton's Castle was like winning the lottery for me.
Anyone here buy Hydro Thunder Hurricane for Xbox Live Arcade? Protip: Don't use Razorback on Seoul Stream Expert. The best path requires a shit ton of air control to nail, and it's very easy to lose speed while you get up to the shortcuts, particularly the one in the shopping mall. Cutthroat is a better choice, or Rad Hazard if you're a masochistic fuck that doesn't like driving in straight lines.

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
I have a break for a week, so I'm gonna try to learn a real Zelda game (thinking a 2D one, probably one of the Oracle games)
