Ahh, okay. Kind of threw me with the word "picks," like it was some kind of draft or something..

Re: TWG LXXII: The Chimera Code (Redux)
Just so it doesn't surprise anyone, I got a shard and I didn't use/pass it, so I have a 50% chance of dying.

Re: TWG LXXII: The Chimera Code (Redux)
Why wouldn't you use it? That's just dumb. And it says you die, not 50% chance.

Re: TWG LXXII: The Chimera Code (Redux)
I think he means it's a fifty percent chance depending on if it's pure/tainted.

Re: TWG LXXII: The Chimera Code (Redux)
"
– If the MW is in possession of a tainted shard, and is seered, the reading will return RED unless the seering was done with a crystal or higher item. – If a human other than a blue receives a tainted shard and does not use or pass it in the same phase, the human dies." you're ****ing stupid for not using the shard if you die then. if you're a wolf and the shard is pure, then yea, you're stupid. if you're a human and the shard is tainted, then ea, you're stupid.

Re: TWG LXXII: The Chimera Code (Redux)
It says no where that the person wouldn't know if it was tainted or pure. How would it be 50% chance? Never has it been said you don't know if your shard is pure or tainted.

Re: TWG LXXII: The Chimera Code (Redux)
Sorry I haven't been active or online at all today guys.
Had school, then stayed to practice for all-region afterwards, then had a Christmas parade ... just got home. I'm on AIM if there's a chatroom going on or if anyone wants to talk. |

Re: TWG LXXII: The Chimera Code (Redux)
Ahh, okay. Nice pick. I must've erased that part from my mind because I think it's bull**** that you're either protecting or killing off someone and you don't know which it is. Either way, still stupid to not at least pass it.

Re: TWG LXXII: The Chimera Code (Redux)
Oh, wow, I'm more even more exhausted than I thought I was. You can choose whichever one you want, regardless of the shard's alignment, but the effects if you are seered while in possession of and/or don't use/pass the item are unknown. Damn, I need to sleep. Please, post the results soon so I can go to bed after a grueling day of wrestling practice..

Re: TWG LXXII: The Chimera Code (Redux)
NOTE: The stories give nothing away about the game, blah blah.
-------------------------------------------------------------- The first of the stars disappear into the morning sunlight, and Vale wakes up as usual. Every morning, he rises before all the others and goes for a walk around as the sun rises. He puts on his armor suit, sets out from his room, and is just about to make his rounds, when, in front of the doorway to the guard house, he slips and falls forward, nearly cracking his visor. "What the...?" He investigates the ground and discovers what he has slipped on. A small stream of dark red fluid has run along the floor. Blood. "No..." Raven follows it to the corner, where the doors to the rooms of Avant, Para-Medic, and Gryphon have been ripped from the hinges, and blood soaks the walls. "No, no, no," Raven mutters fearfully, hoping that what he fears isn't true, but expecting the worst... The gruesome sight is appalling. All three of them lie brutally murdered. The huge claw marks and bullet holes in the walls bear testament to the struggle that took place. Their armor still clings loosely to their bodies. Chimera claws sliced through the metal and ruined flesh and bone. It takes all of Vale's strength not to throw up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After reporting his findings to Commander Mezera, Vale stands silent as he delivers his message. "It is as we feared, gentlemen. The Chimera are among us, in secret, and they aim to destroy us, the prime threats to their objectives. Unless we take some kind of action, we will be destroyed from within." There is a long pause. "So what do we do?" Arterus asks despondently. "Leto and I have proposed a simple solution. There's a maximum-security prison right below this guard house, in the underlevels. We've been able to contact the managers. Anyone locked in there is not coming out. We will try to collect evidence and find out who is behind these murders. Every day, we will vote for one person to eliminate from the group. Until the crisis is resolved and we are able to perform proper tests, anyone voted off will have to stay in the prison. It's secure in the underlevels, so anyone there will be provided for." "I don't know, something about that doesn't strike me well," says Skech. "It's the best we've got," responds Visark. "We can't just send off any person we suspect. We can't let paranoia get a hold of us. This plan results in the least losses. Anyone still left can look after themselves, and even if we vote off someone innocent, it won't be too bad." "But what if we never catch them?" Skech asks. "That isn't much of an attitude," says Vee. "It's settled then?" asks Mezera. Slowly everyone says yes. "Okay, comrades. Stay sharp and be on the lookout for anything suspicious. Our first elimination comes tonight." All of them set out, steeling themselves for whatever might come their way. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Night 1 is over. freakysnots, DarkManticoreX2, and DrKirth are dead. Aww, sorry to hear that travman. Hope you and your cousin turn out okay. Like lito said, keep your head up.
Will you require a replacement? We're already strained, but I could find one if I tried.
