Keep It Short [43 or 46]
Just to refresh, under the 1-99 scale old 8s are ~35-45. 9s are 46-55.
Therefore right now this song is a high 8. But take a look at some of the patterns... Right off the bat we begin with a 22112 12th pattern, which is horribly awkward by itself, not to mention when we're going cold into it. But okay...one obnoxious pattern doesn't make a C. (The pattern does repeat itself, btw) That's the least of it, however. A little later you have alternating 64th and 48th grace notes, which are confusing as hell to players of that skill level. Grace notes aren't even common in 8s except in classical/piano songs, not to mention ones with alternating colours in them. They create some confusing framers as well: The chart goes on like this for a while, nothing new except for a few !surprise! 12th jacks in there. So it's a mid-8 until just after the halfway mark, when an interesting [34]43[24]4[123] pattern appears out of nowhere after a slow part. The first polyrhythm appears here, and it only gets tougher. Soon you have 12th stream mixed with a couple of 8ths and the aforementioned 48th and 64th grace notes too. Then, this thing happens...twice: Since when do 8s have 8th/12th polyrhythms with 32nd bursts thrown in? After this there's a bunch more polyrhythms comprising of 12ths and then 16ths, with 48th graces in them. And that's why this song is not a 43 - it finds better company amongst things like Fantranstic than, say, Remember 15 Years Ago.

Re: Keep It Short [43 or 46]
I actually agree with this being bumped up. But not sure if it should be either a 45 (which is just barely tipping onto the os (using the old 1-13 scale)) or a 46 (which is a super low 9). But yes, aside from the 32nd bursts that look like the ones from Addict (D4's round 1 file), but also the framered grace notes from elegante, which are both 10 & 9 respectively (again, using the old 1-13 scale to explain it better). As for the stats, here's three files that are around the same difficulty (1 being exactly the same difficulty as Keep it Short and 2 in the 9s area) with similar release dates (excluding some recent releases), and similar amount of number of players that have played these files, and with that extensive overlooks on the files being compared to Keep it Short:
Here's also the NPS graph for each files: Since VisD already showed the parts that are derpish in KiS, here's the tricky spots in the other songs. Daybreak Comfortably Lost Yukitsuki-yashou Doomsday this is pretty much a w.i.p. int othe details, but as soon as I go into depth for each part, it will come out cleanly as in the end, Keep it Short should be bumped into a 46. Re: Keep It Short [43 or 46]
You guys pretty much covered everything there is to cover. Yeah this chart should be bumped to 46.

Re: Keep It Short [43 or 46]
If the general agreement is leaning towards 46, I'll mention this in Diff chat today and bump it up if there aren't any qualms in doing so ;D
@VisD: A-grade OP here for the diff sub forum, exactly what we want to see ;D
