studenteducation.net
I don't know why I have a problem with the mirrors every year, and it's kinda starting to tick me off. Maybe it's because of all the updates but who knows?
Anyway, the game isn't loading on this mirror... which is the only one that works here in school. Any idea on what the problem is? EDIT: Oh, the problem is... it says something about the authentication failing or something. And no, I can't clear my cookies because they blocked students from doing that, etc. I basically can't do anything to fix it on my end which is why I [continually] post these threads. This probably isn't going to be the last time either. I'm serious. Last edited by Nyokou; 09-17-2008 at 12:45 PM.. |

Re: studenteducation.net
it's your school. authentication failing likely has to do with out-of-date flash player. or something like that.
the problems are on your end... us doing anything won't fix it. and if you can't do anything on your end to fix it, then you're SOL. yell at your school.

They've disabled the ActiveX controls in my Computer Science lab. At least they haven't in the library, but still, it sucks.

I actually have this same problem at my school. I was going to post a thread about this today actually lol. At school I just play resonance because of the aforementioned problem. People still think I'm insane so it's all good.

Re: studenteducation.net
Put Stepmania on a flash drive and bring it to school. You can just copy the files from your computer to your flash drive, and you won't have to extract or install anything.

Re: studenteducation.net
Is there a way you can make a mirror with an older version of FFR? For those who don't care about updates, but just want to play/show off at school?

Re: studenteducation.net
I've had this same problem at my school, and I think the flash players here are updated.

Re: studenteducation.net
A very simple problem to updating flash etc when it's been disabled to do so... DL the flash player file, put it on a thumb drive or ExHDD... transfer, Install. Done. If they've disabled installation of files... there's another way around that, depending on what client they are using to control the computers. If it's Novell I could tell you but if not... then I'd have to ask my high school's tech admin/teacher.

I was going to say this, Phynx beat me to it. I did this for a friend of mine, not for FFR, but for a flash video. Worked wonders

Re: studenteducation.net
FFR runs on Flash 10, right? Cause my browser has 9. Just wondering.
And I've tried downloading 10, but the little pop up thing never shows up. It's pissing me off. |

Re: studenteducation.net
For some reason, none of the songs work on any of the mirrors on my computer or the ones at my school. Thankfully, my school doesn't block the host site, which works fine there.
Anyone else have this problem? |

For some reason they unblocked the main site, they still blocked the game though.

Re: studenteducation.net
Ok, so FFR runs on Flash 9 then.
Then why the hell is it not loading on my computer? It seriously has nothing to do with my laptop. It's obviously not working because of something wrong on your end. Like I said, this has happened before more than once in the past 2 years and every time it has gotten fixed with the help of Synthlight... or someone else. Besides, FFR has been REALLY crappy lately, even on my home computer. |

Re: studenteducation.net
I have a somewhat similar problem. At my school, studenteducation is the only one that isn't blocked, but whenever I try to play FFR, it goes to 872k/872k, but it never does anything after that
