Re: jTWG LXXXIV: 8 New Players and Raeko Game Thread
dragonmega you really have to read from a standpoint that they've never played a game of TWG before, and whether or not they would have received assistance in playing the game through wolfchat in d0.
Antori and ShyYoshiGuy are both playing this game from a mechanical standpoint and they both aren't really reading why people are leaning the way they are. I mean, ShyYoshiGuy voting me is basically the pinnacle of that. |

I understand the mechanics at this point. I’m just trying to figure out the mindsets and how people interpret things before I post things, because essentially anyone here from my perspective can be a wolf and seeing each other twist and turn votes/leads is making me nervous to come out of my shell and say anything I’m not 100% confident in.

@MN what's your thoughts on my dragonmega read? ShyYoshiGuy didn't really see it and thought it was out there enough to vote me, Raeko can't see it

Re: jTWG LXXXIV: 8 New Players and Raeko Game Thread
The only thing that makes dragon look bad in my eyes is Shadow_God's read on them. Dragon doesn't know the lingo, but it doesn't affect my opinion at all, since it's both so easy to fake and so probable to be true...

especially if they are both clueless wolf chat wouldn't really help much. I think being clueless is pretty NAI in itself, since someone wouldn't know any better just by rolling a certain alignment other than a few things from wolf chat (but again I don't think we should put too much stock into that) |

Re: jTWG LXXXIV: 8 New Players and Raeko Game Thread
Yoshi is worrying me a lot
Sanzath, I try to see GS's world, but I feel you are zoning out too much. From what I recall, he made some believable calls. I don't know how to interpret his vote on h&h, and I'm very afraid of his wolf game so I try to keep my eyes peeled... There are just so many more things sticking out from other players that I have a hard time focusing on sanz. Again, I can see him being wolf. That's because he plays exactly the same, whether he is wolf or town. We will catch Sanz by understanding the intent of his posts. Honestly, Antori and dragon voting each other makes me think "Confused towns". It makes me want to focus my attention elsewhere |

Re: jTWG LXXXIV: 8 New Players and Raeko Game Thread
I thought more about Yoshi.
Why would Yoshi switch from gold stinger to voting mellon so quickly? Their reasoning: my argument swayed them What I see: If Yoshi is a town: This is a bad play. People already don't trust them. The fact Yoshi joins a new vote suggestion so quickly and without any acknowledgement of how weird it is makes them look weird. The reason Yoshi gave would be the true reason, he just went for the most compelling candidate, despite the optics that would result from this. Conclusion: if Yoshi is town, he plays an independent town. Yoshi doesn't care what people think about them, as long as Yoshi finds the wolf. I find this believable. If Yoshi is a wolf: Yoshi moved their vote to melloncollie to get a train going. Melloncollie has a "big dick" wall of text lining up with her actions, which would make her an easy mislynch if a lot of people get on this train. However, I find this play wouldn't make sense as a wolf. * I cannot picture a world where a junior wolf would attempt to make waves at this point in the game. My entire reasoning is based on this hypothesis. By moving their vote, Yoshi is clearly making some big waves. Any player who rolled wolf, regardless of how noob they are, can understand how votes attract attention, and why switching votes so suddenly at that specific time would be the equivalent of digging their own grave. No one does that. There is nothing to gain here. * I cannot picture a world were a Veteran wolf would attempt to make waves at this point either. A veteran knows better than to completely 180 their thoughts from a single townie post. It looks bad, like "oh, this town says something that fits my agenda, so I approve!". It looks bad from a mile away. Nobody attemps that. Tl;dr, I only see this strange vote switch if Yoshi is a town that doesn't care what people think about them. This is what I'll choose to believe from now on. I'm able to reconciliate the picture I had of them before their vote switch with their current actions. |
