Re: FMO/FGO Event Simfile Discussion Thread
Novo Mundo was enjoyable but I didn't like the break(s) in the middle where I had to wait for something to happen. ITT FFR needs more jumpstreams like this.
LW1 was as well enjoyable. I'm not a pitch relevent person, just make arrows go with noises and it's all good. I didn't like the stream for some reason. Those jumps felt out of place yet they fit at the same time. If that made any sense. |

Re: FMO/FGO Event Simfile Discussion Thread
Novo Mundo- Amazing song, amazing file. Well done on both ends, Ossa . The 32nd run felt out of place compared to the rest of the file but it wasn't BS so it was fine for me. I really enjoyed the patterns, they flowed so well.
LWI- Wow. Inconsistency what? Do you draw your patterns out of a hat, Rebirth? Everything is so random, it makes no sense, and it's never consistent. The part with the long trills is a perfect example, where there's a trill the first time that sound occurs and then the next 3 times after then there's streams. The patterns are just a hock of bull****, IMO, and that completely ruins the file.

Re: FMO/FGO Event Simfile Discussion Thread
That's not an excuse. He can revamp his file to meet the times. Everything's rhythmically correct; he should have gone back through and edited the patterns to make more sense. Instead of that, we get a jumble of arrows with no rhyme or reason.

Re: FMO/FGO Event Simfile Discussion Thread
I think the better question is why Tass accepted such a crappy file >_> Does he just go, "Oh hey its rebirth it has to be good lol" and then put it in the queue or something? I mean cmon >_>

Re: FMO/FGO Event Simfile Discussion Thread
I hope this wasn't posted already, but Novo seemed more like a VC to me. I got 1 miss my first try and just a couple boos. I can't FC FMO songs at all really; I got symp eventually, but Novo just seems much easier than many VC songs of similar length.

Re: FMO/FGO Event Simfile Discussion Thread
I haven't been playing in a while, and sad that I've gotten so bad just in time for FM/GO event.. but I have to agree. LW1, from the very beginning, I thought was crap. =\

Re: FMO/FGO Event Simfile Discussion Thread
=[ Get rid of the 68 4 8 2 8 4 86 2 part at around 1000+ combo =[
SPREAD SPREAD SPREAD SPREAD SPREAD SPREAD SPREAD SPREAD That is the ONLY section I can't AAA, and it lasts for 1 second. Far out. I AAA the entire song, get 3 goods and 4 boos there, and AAA the rest. This sucks, but ok rest of song except trills.

Re: FMO/FGO Event Simfile Discussion Thread
not exact. Slightly redone.
That file was pretty damn awesome back in the day of its original release for SM. During that part with the trills, would you guys have rather had 12 long ass 215 bpm trills, some of which wouldv'e been one handed trills, or would you all have wanted something a bit better? I know back in 2005, people wouldv'e wanted what I did Deal with what the simfile is like, and be glad you weren't around in 2005. Just think of what simfiles were like when I first started playing this game, 5 years ago. |

Re: FMO/FGO Event Simfile Discussion Thread
Hmm...
Now that I've played the files, I'd say that the nuisance of the combo counter (which is for some reason or another layered OVER the arrows) is as apparent as ever. I couldn't AAA past certain sections solely for the fact that there was big blue text blocking my vision half the time. Oh well...maybe it'll be fixed sometime in the future. |

Request to put the combo counter in the corner of the screen, and smaller.

It doesn't matter if LWI is old, it sucks.
I didn't like Novo too much, but it wasn't bad.
