What I was going to say seems pretty much covered in this thread.

66 seems to be the lowest current difficulty that unlocks oni, so any song 66+ should be allowed to unlock Oni. I've always thought the list of specific songs was rather unnecessary anyway, considering it really shouldn't matter what FMO you AAA'd.

I dont understand why anyone would want 70+? I mean, their are a GREAT deal of songs that are 65-69 that are plenty hard enough to unlock Oni..... I dont even HAVE a 70+ song yet and i have 13 or 14 FMO AAAs so i dont really think that is fair at all. Anyone care to Elaborate for me?

That's exactly why, I think the majority of songs in the 66-69 range are becoming too easy (like when they removed songs such as VB and SC from the list) and I always thought oni should be a hard token/achievement to earn since it appears alot more people are getting oni as the skill level of the community as a whole grows higher. However that's just my thought/opinion on the matter and it doesn't really matter if it's 66+ or 70+ to me.

Well Southern cross/Vertex Beta are definitely FMO's, imo at least. But okay, how exactly are they getting easier? Just because most of the higher ups in the community are getting better doesnt mean that we need to keep making the reqs higher and higher and making FMO songs very challenging. Its not really fair to the others. I mean i get what you are saying but it definitely should not be 70+ because thats just not fair.
My 2cents

Edit: Does it really matter if more people are getting Oni? I mean, if you are good enough to AAA an FMO then you deserve it and it shouldnt matter if its a high FMO or a low FMO, they are both worthy of the token because you EARNED it by practicing and getting good enough to get an FMO lol

VB and SC were removed because it was agreed upon that they weren't fmos and thus shouldn't unlock the token designed for aaaing an fmo lol.

66+ makes most sense now that i think about it

Exactly what i am thinking Mrpop. Making the reqs higher and higher as the years go on is just not right. People practice and get better, its just how it works.

EDIT: Right Rushy, I really have NO idea how Southern Cross is not FMO. I mean come on Jump stream for that long is not anything less. Same for Vertex Beta, Fast paced stream is not anything less, come on.

What does the pop up say when you unlock it. HOLY COW YOU MANAGED TO AAA A FMO(or something along the lines of that.)

So, uhhhh...... any freaking fmo should get you the token. I got mine on Novo Mundo. It should still get you it. Along with the others removed (if FMO's still)

Eh this a bit of a silly reason but it just doesn't feel quite as important or as much of a notable achievement when there's 500 people who have it as opposed to say 100. I also thought because if 64 or 65 doesn't give you oni then the other numbers of the expert section shouldn't either, maybe 64 and 65 can give it out too? Also I'd say those 2 songs are FMO/Expert as well but subjectivemanias.

^^^ This, and no sadly the others are 65 along with Novo Mundo which is most DEFINITELY an FMO!! With that being said, SC, Miraiya, VB, and all the other 65's are DEFINITELY FMO. lol

In all seriousness, FMO = For Master's Only, doesn't master start on 71's or something like that? Then I say that. It's more of a challenge anyway.

Hey, wouldnt bother me if 10,000 people had Oni. Its hard to get and that should be enough satisfaction to hold you over. Eventually alot more people are going to have it anyways if they keep up the practice. Like vet status, doesnt matter if 200 or 10,000 people have it. If you earned it, then you earned it lol

It'd be extremely unfair to people that are working hard to improve to get the token if the difficulty to unlock is bumped up because people that already have it think it's too easy (of course it's easy for you, you're a skilled player and already have the token).

And I think it's kinda lame to follow the poorly grouped sets of difficulties and say it should be 70+. The token was made for FMOs back when it was called FMOs, and it should stay like that. Not following a new system with different names.

Why are people basing their votes on trying to keep Oni an exclusive token? The difficulty to unlock the token should remain unchanged. You don't see any other tokens being vamped up in difficulty because too many people have them. People just think there's wiggle room with Oni because it's a skill token that doesn't have one solidified req, i.e. AAA Spontaneous Hydroxide. You don't see that token being changed to AAA Turbulence because too many people have it.

66-75/76 is the best range for what the original requirement was. Less emphasis on the upper bounds because it's extremely unlikely someone would unlock Oni on a file harder than most 74s/75s, but it doesn't hurt to include songs even all the way up to 77.

FMO = For Masters Only on the old system. The new system is Master not for master only. So that needs to change also. With that being said, masters is too high for the start of the oni and only limits it to so many. Expert/66+ should Unlock Oni.
