Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
Sweet, I got some passing and some almost passing.
Yeah, the first set of bursts I had significant trouble trying to figure out a way to make it work since according to the music, that's how it should be. I'll try to think of ways to make it better, and Razor, I did have it at first a 12341 going on. The last arrow though just felt too awkward. I'll improve it though and hope for the best next batch. Thanks y'all! |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
Looks like DownTemperature and Not Our Tomorrow made it, the massive BPM recolorizing changes in DownTemperature probably caused problems for some of the judges though as well as in my Entry file despite playing fine for me.
Will get to looking over these notes again later. |

3/3/5/3 ;_; thats what I get for trying to make a v2 that involves experimenting with the layering blech. Oh well, I'll just fix it up for next batch >_>
Also, grats to those who had their files accepted. Last edited by XxMidigamixX; 09-27-2012 at 11:10 PM.. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
It varies from batch to batch, but it's about 6.5/10 on average. Often it's a bit higher than that. I'd say that if your file is above 7/10 on average, you should be safe.

Since you claim to have problems generating a .dwi file through several versions of Stepmania, let someone else do that for you. What versions have you been using anyways? Saving in the Stepmania editor will produce both a .sm and a .dwi file. Last edited by bmah; 09-27-2012 at 11:16 PM.. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
Tache: 4/7/5/6 I bet it's because of that second part but I really wanted to try haha oh well, imma cut it! As for the ''beginning part not having a purpose in the breakcore'' I don't agree, I stepped as a ''funny'' reminder that this sound is like a structure to the breakcore or something? Whateva I don't know if this the right thread to discuss this

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
PM the judges who reviewed your file to discuss any issues you may have in detail. Keep in mind that if you resubmit your file next time, it likely will not be reviewed by the same set of judges.

I personally tried 3.9, 3.9b, and 3.95 CVS Soul. had the same problem as I did, and we spent a while trying to find a fix with no luck. His got reviewed without a .dwi, mine didn't. Last edited by PrawnSkunk; 09-27-2012 at 11:24 PM.. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
Just read my notes, actually pretty happy about what I saw overall. Yeah it was a 4/5/4/6, but all the notes I read were rather nice and came across like the file had potential, which makes me very happy for a first file.
On top of that all the judging I got was rather invaluable, Alex and mega both gave me a lot of specific technical things to fix, choofers gave me an overall what any average person would think playing the file and if it would be a good fit for ffr (which I greatly GREATLY appreciate, I hadn't even considered boring in my list of problems to fix lol), and JX gave me a review on overall technicality of the file. So I got a ton of advice from all different perspectives, very useful stuff, ended up very happy with the judging done. Thanks a ton guys! (and sorry you had to sit through the file as it is right now lol, hope to make it more fun soon) I don't know if I'll be resending the file in next batch, in order to fix boring I want to put my holds back in and make it an SM file, and also that just sounds more fun to me. So I'm probably going to be looking out for the next SM pack I can submit to instead. So that's that, and thanks again!

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
And done. Made some minor changes and most importantly got rid of that burst and made it a simple 32nd short burst instead.
Niala, I'm gonna have to get to you and ask you where the ghost notes are exactly. I'm having a tough time locating said ghost notes even though you gave me some seconds to examine. I don't hear the notes being ghosted at all. =P |
