Party 4u v1...
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
This is the timeline I remember. 1. Party 4u is released for purchase in the shop. Many rejoice. 2. Some people complain that they cannot play the song properly due to their keyboards not registering triples, or three arrows pressed at once. 3. Party 4u is replaced with an updated stepfile, v2. This does not have any triples. The change takes place even to those who purchased the original, and no one has access to the original file in-game anymore. 4. Skip to present day. There are a number of files high in difficulty that use triples, despite the pledge not to use them after the Party 4u incident. I am asking for the original v1 to be released again now that triples are acceptable. There is no reason not to release it now that triple are common. |

Re: Party 4u v1...
It doesn't even need to add to user rank, make it a token of some sort. However, the file was sound from what I remember and I'd love the chance to play it again, as would others. I'm also sure others would like to try it for themselves.

Re: Party 4u v1...
Tass won't allow hands on files 10 and below. Also p4u v1 was a bad file I think, so no point to bring it back.

Re: Party 4u v1...
Makign it a token would null any argument, since it would be unlocked mainly by those interested in it, and would make it not contribute to user rank. There's really no reason NOT to release it.
It's not like the Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger songs that had permissions issues. It was a file that was removed simply because of the triples, and some of us would like the option of playing it again. Plus, it wouldn't be that hard. They already have the file and information. Re: Party 4u v1...
With your logic any file, good or bad, has no reason to not be added as long as it's a token.
It's not all about ranks, quality of the file is major now, token or not. Personally I would like to play the file also, but I don't believe it will ever be re-added. |

Re: Party 4u v1...
I think the file also had 0-framers.

It's the same reason we've kept the old Synthlight files even though they wouldn't pass by today's standards. We should preserve the file as the historic oddity it is. |

Re: Party 4u v1...
actually that was pretty much the reason as to why they were removed.

Re: Party 4u v1...
as far as i remember the file was really really bad anyway so maybe its removal was for the better. i doubt few, if any still have it.

Re: Party 4u v1...
Who cares if it sucked its a legendary file most older files with the flat blue arrow color are horribly stepped and are ridiculously offsync yet they're still in the game, why not add this one? The points have been made pretty clear:
1. Token would apply to those interested in it and wouldn't affect rankings. 2. There's plenty of songs with timing issues or bad steps that are still in the game today. 3. Its a file of legendary status I mean come on this file is more controversial than vrofl. I really don't see any reason to hold out on it any longer. It's not like if it's released as a token or something THE WORLD WILL IMPLODE FROM 0-FRAMERS. Last edited by MilkChan; 10-10-2008 at 01:51 AM.. |

Re: Party 4u v1...
Hands = DDR term because the player would need to use one of their hands to hit the 3rd note.
