Thanks, man. And yeah, World Sound is just rough, I didn't even feel like going after the first 32 measures, haha. I'm trying to work on my footspeed lately, 210's starting to feel more comfortable but I can't control anything above 220.

So my Omega ITGx finally arrived today and I look forward to playing on it more. I surprised myself in this session considering how long I haven't played seriously like this.

Highlights:
- Saber Wing Headshot Challenge near AA
- Paranoia Respect Heavy nobar pass although this was awful, legs locked up at the crossovers
- Trim Heavy nobar pass, locked up at the end
- debit13's Ecstasy AAA nobar

I also got several new videos using this pad, click spoiler for links.

this felt pretty good (feels really hard for a 13 though but meh)

lol this is a rly bad picture but its gateway to psycho 93.44 or something like that. first pass.

(Cross-post from AIJ and r21Freak)

A few scores from tonight's 2 hour set. I played six 12+ songs in a row, which is one of the most impressive things I've ever done IMO

Quasar, chart by Eggman

Happy Adventure, Delightful Adventure, chart by Omid/Dimo

Air, chart by Reach. (and yes, I know the score is godawful, but whatever)

Been a bit since I've posted, tl;dr our ITG group now collectively owns 3 machines, with me owning 1 all by myself. Been messing around in general the first 2 months, but the last 2-3 weeks I've been making serious attempts at improving again, especially in the 180-200 range I've so desperately needed to improve. Haven't been taking many screenies but I do have a few from the last few days that are by far my best passes so far, including my first 16!

Goddamn the ending is so long.

This could almost be a 16 imo. It's pretty long and those runs are intense. I grabbed waaaay too many Misses for how decent my Great count is :/

Not super sure on the 16 rating here but I'll take it! Score crap because I was conserving so hard lol. The 2nd 16 measures in the long run is AIDS and a half.

Have a few other lower-end 15s passed as well. Happy to finally be making progress in stamina again!

ps everyone stop being good at speedcore. I may have ridiculous stamina now but I really wish I could get faster :c

sick Gate Openerz - I was literally screaming go at my monitor watching you do that, so much hype; so proud of you for passing it

awesome job on Orbital Strike; qualifies as 16- imo but then again, GO does for me too so it's all good either way.

Gate Openerz impresses me the most out of those scores. Nice job!

My pad stopped working out of nowhere and I don't know what caused it. It came with a 6 month warranty but I never got around to even building a base for it until 5 months after I got the pad, so I think I'm shit out of luck for a while if I can't find a solution soon

So today I passed my first 13, although there are some other files that are debatable 13s I've passed (like Fascination Maxx Challenge and Locked Into Phantasy). My footspeed is improving but I still lock up too easily on speeds above 150. The situation is much better than my cobalt flux however; I just need more speed to get past the 12 --> 13 barrier.

Welcome To Rainbow pass

Improved accuracy tremendously, most of the misses were on the 32nd trills

With more stamina and footspeed I'm getting to passing more songs from crossover spectrum

200 is brutally fast

Yay Doss! Now you needs to start working on higher speeds. Or at least, it's something you will eventually need to work on to get a strong foothold on 13s. Other than things that are longer/harder than WtR (Programmed Sun comes to mind and its more than double the stream amount)... Try to find some nice 170 songs to play on. Pendulum comes to mind, they have some 11s and 12s in the pack you can practice on and the patterns are generally pretty easy on the lesser charts.

On a related note to something previous in this thread involving accuracy, are your timing windows accurate to ITG? It might help push some of those Excellents up in grade. You're clearly in SM so that's why I'm asking

@ Ettiene: that sucks. (assuming ITGx?) I've never owned one nor know someone that does so I'm not sure what the problem could be either. It might be the control box, but either way asking the site what they think could be wrong wouldn't hurt. It might not be under warranty but I don't see why they wouldn't give advice on common issues that arise.

Got two new 13 passes today. Destination from Mute Sims 7 and Self vs. Self Heavy from Pendulum. The SteveReen method of warming up with footspeed and transitioning to stamina seems to be working well for me, I need more leg strength to contain faster speeds. I lock up easily, but over time I think I'll develop more control over it. I would say the hardest part about transitioning from 12 to 13 is the speed factor.

Warming up with 170 and 180 made this much more manageable. Better CBs than my previous score. Accuracy still isn't that good, my stamina is noticeably going up however.

Locked up in the second half

I tried 9,000 miles after this and passed the first 16 measure stream, but then the 16 measure stream after doesn't have much life gain at all before it or break time.

I can see the rationale behind this but the ITG great window is huge. I'd rather keep a more general window that only has a couple of milliseconds difference than extend the great window that much.

But they're OFFICIALLY huge. Like, for both DDR and ITG.

Passed Silence three times today, all Rynker-like scores. I miss too often on the down arrow.

I'm also going to have to be disproportionately fast to go on to 13. 140 BPM is much easier to manage now (considering I'm grinding short 180-200 BPM burst files), which is a disproportionately big speed difference but for decently long 175 streams I'd probably have to do something like 220 before I can even attempt it, haha.

September 11th edit: Finally AA'd this

Yesterday was a great nobar session and I got some scores that beat my bar scores. I'm improving on faster crossovers nobar.

I will get other videos up soon.

Nobar Scores

Beats my bar score, first AA

Beats my bar score, also first AA. I got a few high A's before this run

First SDG ever on this file. The CBs aren't that good but I like the accuracy on this score; first nobar AA.

AAAing this is hard doing the spins, but I'm pretty close.

Bar Scores

I can finally play my files now! Passed again with a much better score this time.

Being able to maintain consistency like this is showing improvement in my stamina, I'm making it a goal to AA this every session

Got three other nobar passes today on some more 12s
- Fascination Maxx Challenge
- NGO Challenge
- Locked Into Phantasy

I think the structure of my chair prevents me from using it as an effective bar so I'm just going nobar right now.
