Re: FFR Community Pack Winter 2011 (Submissions Open)
asdfjkl; I keep meaning to send fixes but I always get busy because I'm on vacation.
If I don't get around to sending my fixes just move all the charts in Rave7 up one difficulty, with Oni -> Edit But I really want to send in my fixes, just not finished yet >_<

Re: FFR Community Pack Winter 2011 (Submissions Open)
Pair of Aces V2(Midigami)
Standard - You forgot to shorten the holds for this. Do this and this'll be acceptable. - Hand usage is debatable but you can keep them in if you wish. Maybe Heavy - Better with shorter holds. As a result though, you have a lot of empty gaps which gives you more layering opportunity. I'd suggest layering jumps to every 4th note to go with the bass. It'd keep your layering super consistent and fill in all those gaps which will also improve file flow. - All the 4th notes as bass jumps and this'll be good. I'm only being picky about this because this is a very short and quick file. Maybe Super Bass (WTFBrandon) Don't care if this doesn't have an easier chart. You're ****in Brandon and we haven't see a file from you since like 2009. YES SIN (Nohara & Yume) - Plays out very similarly to Puppet's file in DCP but has some neat gimmicks on its own. - Could use an easier chart considering how difficult this is. Pending Flames Within These Black Feathers (Szalu) Offset was early by 0.04. Global offset probably. Heavy Acceptable Yes Challenge - Jacks are questionable but I'll let it slide since it adds a nice scoring factor and makes it interesting. - Sync might be slightly off because of the stops but it's not by much. - Layering is straightforward and neat. No real commentary. - JAPAN SONG CHOICE ALERT. I'll let this slide since file's good. Yes Innovation (Detrimentalist) Standard - Could be simplified further but this is acceptable. Yes Heavy YES SAMBA de ASPEL (bmah) Standard - You know what you're doing. Yes Heavy - No real commentary. Layering's great and file's fun. Yes Negus Nagast (Wineandbread) Light Acceptable Yes Edit - This is so swag. eXPReSSiVe and very danger mines. Yes Sjalv (Szalu) Heavy - 48th stream, uhhh yeah. This isn't the right pack to send this to. Save this for a hard or dump pack, lmao. No Challenge - 48th trills, uhhh yeah. This isn't the right pack to send this to. Save this for a hard or dump pack, lmao. No worldenddominator (Profraine) Heavy - Acceptable but the gap between this and Challenge is ****ing out of this world. Challenge - The 24ths in the beginning feel way too overemphasized especially when what they're supposed to represent is very subtle in the song itself. I personally wouldn't even bother layering them in, especially when you're starting off a file. - I would trim all the holds shorter in length by as much as an 8th note or so long. Avoids awkward holdstreaming patterns like what you've got when you start throwing in 16th jacks and polyrhythms, and it opens up your patterning/layering opportunity. Holds don't need to be as long as the sound they go to, as long as it's there regardless of length, players can distinguish what they go to in a single playthrough. - The minijack section after M42+ was a neat concept. However everything after M50+ the file goes to hell, lmao. It's climactic, I get it. Was it necessary to make the entire ending super awkward jackstream, lmao. - No offense and all, file was very... korean/japanese style file influenced. In other words, focused on difficulty factor e.g. jackstreamz. Although I don't have anything against that, I can't find this file to be suitable for this pack in particular. Save this for something else. No Byakuya Gentou (leonid) Standard - Acceptable Yes Heavy - Hard pain swing. - I'd shorten the length of the holds more personally. Other than that, file's great and difficulty Yes BabeL ~Next Story~ (leonid) Heavy - Acceptable Yes Challenge - LEONID HARD PAIN STEP Yes File queue is at 35 files. Also a new GFX list is up and posted in the first post

It's in the layer filters, but those are pretty nice anyways.
BTW, I sent the fixes to worldenddominator. Last edited by Profraine; 12-30-2011 at 01:14 AM.. |
