Re: one handers... crazy
IMO a scores a score regardless of playing style, I could care less how you play.
(as said a few times in this thread pretty much) |

Re: one handers... crazy
Though it's still fact that if you saw a person (IRL) playing better than you do, one handed, you would be amazed.

Re: one handers... crazy
But when you think about it, which one would amaze you more? Four fingers and next to no movement, or three fingers an one hell of a splash of finger movement? I'm not trying to sound like a target of this thread but the stamina required to play one handed FAR surpasses that of spread. (While Index is in the lead)

Re: one handers... crazy
hand movement is not even a small factor in what would amaze me when watching someone play lol. its all about how well the player is doing, and the difficulty of the song (this is most important for observers who aren't familiar with the game). the style they're playing with can affect an extra "wow" reaction from me if the score they got is especially impressive for that playing style.
but playing one-handed by itself simply isn't enough to impress me at all. once you're around yesssss's level is when it starts to amaze, but i really doubt anyone else is quite there lol

Re: one handers... crazy
I'm just seriously tired of this Thread..
I'm a fellow one hander.. I'm decent and I know it.. I'm not going to gloat.. And also.. I'll laugh at that comment when someone does come by and legitly AAA's vROFL There is no limitation to the human body as long as you believe you can surpass it.. with constant playing and determination. It can be done. Last edited by 8 Hour Whore; 07-28-2008 at 12:48 AM.. |

Zaggy, quit while you're ahead, it's a lost cause
One handers really aren't that impressive really. But as long as you guys are gonna keep trying to say they are, I hope you have fun with all the arguments it starts.

Re: one handers... crazy
yesssss's level
http://youtube.com/watch?v=akzX2-hQBW0 also this school of thought is extremely flawed lol. believe it or not, it is -not- possible to AAAA 700 bpm 64th quadjacks. -not- everything is possible if you "believe in yourself" and humans -do- have physical limits. we cannot outrun light; we cannot lift mountains; we cannot aaa vrofl LoL. not because those things are "really really hard," but because they are not possible because of human limitations.

Re: one handers... crazy
lol people who do not understand the insanity of yesssss's mswgo pass. No one-hander on FFR is anywhere close to yesssss's skill. Sorry to say it.
And for anyone who wants to prove me wrong, go C mswgo on vid Edit: To keep this on topic, I will just add the fact that I watched both manti and drugstorecowboy play one-handed irl a little more than a year ago, and I was utterly amazed. Last edited by Sprite-; 07-28-2008 at 07:31 AM.. |

Re: one handers... crazy
Yea, one handed is tough. But more in the begining. That's because you have 3 fingers for 4 button. The brain does'nt accept some arrow pattern.
But after several years of playing (about 3 and half years), I began to stop thinking about my fingers. Even for the double arrows. Sometimes when I play like Flight of the bumblebee, I'm suprised to see my fingers tapping right into the arrows when listening to the beat and thinking about the last documentary i watched! Hehe! |

Re: one handers... crazy
But why stick with it? one handers cant even do a lot of the files on here, that doesn't seem very fun. Unless you're missing an arm or hand I think it's dumb

Re: one handers... crazy
I've played every song but vROFL and passed so..
I'm happy where I am.. I'm constantly improving my one handed skill. Soon I'll start getting better and better. Of course we do have limitations. But who's to say we can't break laws? It's been done before.. We can do it again. |
