Don't worry if you can't do spread immediately. It took about a week for me to get a good grip on two-hand, and will probably take me about a week to get used to spread.
And yes, it's easier for most people to read on a higher speedmod than 1x.

And welcome to FFR :3

EDIT: Please remember NOT to double-post. Please use the "Edit button in the bottom-left corner of your post. Thank you.

Eh...yeah. ^^ Spread is coming a little more easier...I just have to concentrate. Thats all.

And thank you...

I was going to...but...It kinda slipped my mind, I'll remember for now on, though. ^^

Don't try to concentrate TOO hard on the song, though. Usually when I concentrate hard when playing spread, I get really sweaty and stop breathing. XD
No problem.
Ok great. :3
It seems like you're going to get along with the community well.

And I didn't notice this before, but I thought this was hilarious:

I know. Aren't they just awful? Lol.
EDIT: Also, if you want to participate in Tournaments, we have a Tournament Forum that you'd probably like.

O.O.....But I don't wanna get sweaty and stop breathing! I'll just concentrate a little and practice on different songs...although having a sister breathing down your neck doesn't help.

Well...I don't like getting on people's bad sides, so...I may as well get along, right? Hehe.

They are awful! When I started DDR, I did those things, and the person teaching me was like: "Don't ever do that again, Your going straight to standard". I was like...'what?'...now I understand. *nods*

Yeah, it's good idea to start playing another song after about 3-5 tries, otherwise the song will drive you insane. Lol.
I'm the same way with people. Also, I find no point in flaming at all.
Wow. Straight to Standard. I could've never done that when i first began playing DDR or Stepmania/FFR.
So what difficulty did you have to switch down to to practice spread? I had to go down to Standard/Tricky/Difficult from Challenging/Very Challenging/For Masters Only.

Just a tip. Try playing FFR two-handed. Go to "Settings" on the first screen, and set your key configuration to something like Z , X , N , M. Those will then act as your arrow keys. You can change them back whenever you want, but keep in mind that this "spread" playing style is what all of the best players use, and that once you get used to one-handed style like me, it's very hard to switch. -_-

If you have questions, just ask.
How r u that good just playing one-handed I would like to know how? lol

To SpammyMcSquirrel: Yeah....I just keep trying different songs....its rather hard when my sister keeps clicking on the mouse...v.v.. She's 6..and won't leave me alone!

And Flaming, I've never done such a thing in my whole life.

As for switching levels. I have to go to Easy from Standard, maybe Tricky. I don't want to try challenging things yet.

To halomasterman: I am rather good with one hand. I did a song in all combo and didn't make a mistake. I think the song was called Raindrops. I've already pretty much mastered One-handed.

Haha. My baby brother likes to watch me play FFR, and will sometimes hit other keys on the keyboard while I'm playing.
Try distracting her with some of her toys or something. That'll usually get my brother away from the keyboard.
I think I've flamed before, but that was back when I was a complete n00b to everything internet-wise.
And I think halomaster was referring to Crashfan about the one-hand thing.

My sister is 6, and she likes the computer. She is a spoiled brat, and gets whatever the heck she wants. And she hates toys...v.v..it sucks....

The first game I did when I went on the internet ever was runescape or neopets..v.v...the immature games...but never did I ever flame

And oops...I'm a bit slow at the moment...so if he was referring to someone else....well..oh well.

Does she have a TV she can watch?
And most everyone's played RuneScape or NeoPets once before, even if they don't admit it.

Are you referring to my rank...? The only reason I'm ranked in the lower thousands is because I play this quite often. I guess I am pretty good for a one-hander, but I know I can't get much better.

Like Beethovens_mask said, switch to spread, so you don't end up with nearly two years of the one-hand habit like me.

We have two, and they are huge! But she wants to do what her big sister does. I'm the oldest...out of three. *sighs*

Of course they have, my brother is an addict of Runescape...

I had my RS Level 5 when I quit. It was too boring for me, and the person who gave me the account already had it at level 5. I only played for 2 days. XD
