Re: Super Hexagon (a twitch reflexes/pattern reading game)
LOL. Yeah, I would imagine the mouse being quite difficult. Buttons would probably be much better to play the game with
Holy f*** man, that's ridiculous! I can't even get 10 seconds on the easiest level .

Re: Super Hexagon (a twitch reflexes/pattern reading game)
I load up the flash game Hexagon, and see Terry Cavanagh.
Hmm, his name seems familiar. Play the game for a little bit. This reminds me of VVVVVV's Super Gravitron. Go to google, look up Super Hexagon. Sudden realization. Been playing the flash game for about 45 minutes (man it's addictive), my average is 20 seconds per run. I keep overshooting the gaps and crashing into the spin patterns. |

Re: Super Hexagon (a twitch reflexes/pattern reading game)
So, I improved EDIT: all of my Super Hexagon times a bunch
Hexagon: 188.18 Hexagoner: 187.08 Hexagonest: 88.05 Hyper Hexagon: 153.23 Hyper Hexagoner: 128.18 Hyper Hexagonest: 80.17 check out dat hexagoner time @chez-the-guy: Really sick. I still instachoke on black and white stage. @YoshL: You can pass through diagonal cracks in Double Whirlpool patterns, because the game processes moving your cursor before it checks if you've died or not. I know it's programmed to work like that on purpose because it always works like that, you never randomly die doing it.

I finally beat Super Hexagon! I had a lot of time this week AFK, so I got a lot of time to practice.
I guess I'll post my times. |

Re: Super Hexagon (a twitch reflexes/pattern reading game)
I've had this on my phone for a while now. It's a game I play once in a while now. I've beat the first three difficulties but can't seem to get through on the other three. Reverse Spin It Up is intense.

I showed this to a few kids in the math department and at the rate it's spreading I think half of the department will have purchased the game... professors included.

Re: Super Hexagon (a twitch reflexes/pattern reading game)
Figured this would be worth a bump. I just found a game called Open Hexagon which is basically an open source version.

Re: Super Hexagon (a twitch reflexes/pattern reading game)
I got this for my phone and IMO controls way too sensitive.

Re: Super Hexagon (a twitch reflexes/pattern reading game)
Can't even pass hexagonest or whatever third stage is. What's the ideal control? Mouse? KB?

Re: Super Hexagon (a twitch reflexes/pattern reading game)
i imagine mouse would be the best control. also rubix did you try playing with a stylus? it makes it easier to control but even on my phone the screen was a bit too small to really enjoy it much

Re: Super Hexagon (a twitch reflexes/pattern reading game)
I have an old Galaxy Nexus, so nope. Will probably upgrade the phone soon. Maybe the Note?
