Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
a misrhythm is a rhythm that no instrument in the song plays. there are two kinds: intentional and unintentional

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I'm interested in how dossar stepped composer because it seems too repetitive to work with

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Aalright, so I'm finally content with my submissions ....
No Salt - I hope this is a good easy file and that the music is alright. Snow - The sequel to Rain, finally! I hope the hands and grace notes aren't too much... Above - Unlayered. Should be good now. A Battle For The Sky - Messed around with the layering a good bit. Actually confident for this file now. (Thank you, Patashu!) [Resubmit] Spacedust - I did a tad more layering, like, putting the 32nds in, so this should be good now. Didn't do much with the other sections, though, so it may still be a little "awkward". When Petals Fall - Good to go now. {LSD} - put in a few more jumps and redid the stream so it's (almost) all index-friendly. [Queue Correction] Reverse Squiggley - It is necessary that this file replaces the old one, because I removed the 0-framer. (I also switched the arrows in a yellow/red jump for PR). Note: So because the .dwi file is used for .ffr conversion, I tried loading the .dwi for REVERSE SQUIGGLEY and Snow ... and after a number of measures, all the arrows went to green. I think that means that they're conversion un-friendly? Uhm, So all the green arrows would have to be changed back in Flash or however it works... Wondering if I'm seeing the same thing that wc did when he said the file was conversion un-friendly. Also note: I will be available for judging this time. I don't go back to college for another two weeks, so I know I have the time now. If other people can't fill up the slots, I'll be here. Random musing: Wondering about resubmission judging. Didn't seem like last time worked too well... uhm. And do scores on resubmissions count toward the step artist bonus thing? (( Would be nice to get some ++s for When Petals Fall then, 'cause it didn't seem like there were any problems ... heh. )) And miscellaneous information about my stepping experience: Okay, so what's with this ... SM 9.5+ saving random edits to every file? Like, Snow was 2,751 kb before I cut all the junk out of it! And I had to do that for almost every file ... I double checked so I really hope I didn't mess up with the files I sent... Last edited by Silvuh; 01-2-2011 at 09:54 AM.. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I had been working on my file for it along with Snow, and I have all of Sleet's measures on beat and I have the first third of it synced, and ... well uhm, if you've already started too, go ahead and go for it. I was kinda thinking I'd have it completed for the next batch, so uhm, ... yeah, I don't know ...

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
For easier files sometimes adding misrhythms makes the file more fluent. Many new FFR players would find a lot of rhythms that aren't 4ths and 8ths awkward. Misrhythms can therefor make a file even better than if it was stepped 100% accurately.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Silvuh: if you're using 3.9+, stop. I was having that EXACT problem where it would save a difficulty to every game mode, causing my .sm files to go in excess of 1 MB. It's ridiculous.
SM-SSC/DDream would probably be your best bet. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
um what if I made some small changes to my stepfile? Do I resend it and title it something like "Blooming Electro Flower (Elite Ninja) [Resend]"?

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Ok so I resent my Blooming Electro Flower file and also said that on my Banjo Kazooie Rap Beat file the artists name is suppose to be PixlCrushr and not PixlCrusher.

Elite ninja make sure to double check everything before sending that way you don't send in more emails than needed especially if the fixes are minor

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I know. I didnt realize I forgot to fix a certain part in the song until I played it through again and then I was like "CRAP" and hurried up and fixed it. Sorry that happened and I will try to be more alert next time.
