Fact of the matter is, we lack banners for new members more than we care right now to discriminate only the highest of graphical quality. I think your help would be appreciated for sure.

Most of the work is searching for characters that would look good in a signature and good abstract backgrounds that artists will lend permission for me to use. Kind of in a rut right now, because I've already exhausted a lot of backgrounds for previous signatures using google & DeviantArt. XD

Will continue working on them again within the next 5 hours.

edit: made a new version that fixed the shader problems and re-aligns Mudkip to the border of the banner, but whichever one you choose is fine.

You could try mashing up a lot of technical brushes (arrows, splatters, etc.). I think that might break up the habit by a little.

By the way, anyone have seen this?

Haven't been following X and Y closely, remnds me of stuff out of the very first pokemon movie where mewtwo had made clones of all kanto pokemon, especially that Venusaur.

Haven't had much practice in the use of brushes, so I check a lot of backgrounds as inspiration, and have been downloading abstract & tribal brushes.

breaking the habit is beautiful though. Want to learn vectorizing so that I wouldn't have to get the pokemon images, but the pen tool in CS5 is just a pain.



Sorry I couldn't make the peak's snowy ^^; I was trying to get it just right but it wasn't looking right whichever angle I was doing it from. I made sure to include the mountains at least like you said, and I had a snowdust font pre-downloaded too, so I guess that works out.

Vector art ain't too bad to learn. Pen tool in Photoshop though is really hard to use if you want to make images with it.

Now the pen tool in Illustrator though...

A friend complained that Charizard's arms are too thin (she draws stuff), and I thought that wing thing on its arms are too redundant. She also said that the third gun on Blastoise is...uncreative.

But for me it's okay overall.

People have been complaining from the very start that they were adding way too much pokemon, and when they started adding very precise details to pokemon, the fandom began to believe that they were running out of original ideas for new pokemon.

Now, people can truly believe that they have in-fact, ran out of new ideas for pokemon, when they didn't even really need to continue that sort of thing in the first place.
