Re: At least 31 dead at Virginia Tech
There's only one reasonable explanation: The guy played GTA.
But seriously, there seem to be a lot of people with friends that go there. =/ Last edited by Triplex72; 04-16-2007 at 11:28 PM.. |

Re: At least 31 dead at Virginia Tech
what a ****in monster... this is just so horrible... coulda been any of us, you know? it kinda makes you thankful for every day your alive. tomorrow is never promised. its disgusting how one human could have such a mindset to kill his fellow man without guilt or care. i hope he burns in the worst of places...

i'm wiht easterbunny on life. you never know what's going to happen, that's why you should cherish eveyr moment of life that you have. it's just a shame that the VT students didn't get to cherish their lives to the fullest.

Re: At least 31 dead at Virginia Tech
are they going to sell anything like this to help for money for the families? ill gladly buy a few if they do
so he apparently went to kill his ex girlfriend and the guy she was with? im thinking he probably actually did that, and left. then out of guilt, he started feeling horrible about what he had done, so he came back and let out all of his anger, and then took his own life.

Re: At least 31 dead at Virginia Tech
There's a press conference with the police right now. Apparently they did identify the shooter as a VT student, but not much else.

Re: At least 31 dead at Virginia Tech
Hooray, I have electricity again.
I heard about this right as our power went out yesterday. And, of course, one of my best friends is at Tech. The phone lines were totally jammed. No cell service at all. I finally get through and he tells me he was sleeping through the whole thing. ~_~ |

Re: At least 31 dead at Virginia Tech
I am little worried about the backlash towards Koreans and really any Asians attending universities. I just hope everyone doesn't act out on emotion alone. I've seen on Facebook already that there have been groups created that are very negative towards him. I realize that everyone is upset, but no one should take there anger out on someone else.

Re: At least 31 dead at Virginia Tech
So, as I was reading through everything I missed yesterday, I came across this:
http://kotaku.com/gaming/virginia-te...mes-252702.php Not four hours after the shootings, during a time when NOBODY HAD EVEN BEEN IDENTIFIED YET, big JT blames it on video games. |

Re: At least 31 dead at Virginia Tech
I'll give you my prediction.
This will be THE major news story for the next two weeks. The media will start blaming it on other things in a little bit, probably video games, possibly music. If the kid listened to rap it'll be especially good because of the recent Imus business (Sharpton, who pretty much was the leader in getting Imus fired, is now going after rap music). In short, the media will twist this so much that in a few weeks, it won't be Cho Seung-Hui's fault. Many people will forget that this was one kid who CHOSE to go on a rampage. He made a CONSCIOUS DECISION to do this. Good ol' Jack Thompson's already throwing his (feces) around. |
