It's not easy for everyone to judge what difficulty their file is.
I never know where mine stand.

I'm not talking about exact difficulties. The slots that are left are almost all FGO now and we're still getting a lot out of that range and I'm not going to be able to place them anywhere.

I want to note set 5 is missing because Silv offered to help on another set and is primary on it, so just waiting on those notes back before they go up. I have set 8 nearly ready to go and should have it up before the day is out.

Yeah, I stepped mine before checking the spreadsheet, but I'm not really clear on what contingent means in this context. If you can use it in the tournament, fine. If not, fine. It's my first file submission in over 2 years lol.

I agree with the criticisms and I am thankful that the spirit of the file was taken into consideration.
I feel like I owe it to you guys to take the time to show I appreciate the notes you write.

Truthfully, I think you rated the file a little high. Not complaining, mind you!

contingent are files in this batch that fit the difficulty range but still need a judgement. So they could possibly end up rejected, but I'd rather start with focus on slots that literally have nothing first kind of deal. I'll still look at your file of course ^_^ I just want to prevent too much of an influx of files in those ranges now.

risk = reward for this file, definitely

Kayla and I both really liked the execution of this file and I mean, I personally combed through this file -very- carefully because of the complicated rhythms/patterning; despite how ungodly harsh the patterning can get, the overall structure coupled with the pacing/feel of the song just feels perfect. Some will likely disagree with me and will come to hate the file because of the burst patterning, but I think the risk you took to not water things down will yield a huge reward in being a very memorable file (though no promises that users will remember it in the way you'd like).

oh fuck I've had two sets of hard batch notes for like a week now but never posted them anywhere, they just need a reviewer and then you can take from there anything that passes

On this note I'm also going to be updating the (currently local) new Batch Search Engine site with the Official Tournament Batch file status updates posted in this thread. That will continue Thursday night; this week is crazy for me so I have very little time to work on it.
