Re: FFR Community Pack Winter 2011 (Submissions Open)
I'm thinking of two songs to step. Just need to finish one of them which is a wip and get the other one started once school doesn't bother me.

Problem is I'll be gone to Cuba without my comp or anything so I doubt I'll have the submissions done by then

Re: FFR Community Pack Winter 2011 (Submissions Open)
Tera gets sand in his monitor (ghost-)
Oni There are a lot of layering problems and inconsistencies with this. Not bad for decent scoring factor though, so I might save this for MAD Pack 3 whenever I do that. Not really suitable for this pack the way it is now though. No Far East Fantasy Flowering Game Night (Condoct) Standard Acceptable. Yes Heavy Acceptable. Yes Oni Hard pain trills. Pretty fun overall though. Layering is fine and patterns aren't all that difficult aside from that one 32nd one handed trill on [1][2]. Picked up on a few places where you could've layered in some more jump placements but they aren't all that needed. Yes Ultrasounds! (Rin-Dude) Heavy Acceptable though it isn't all that simplified. Yes Oni Hard pain 24th streamz. Fun. Yes Result (S Rank) (Midigami) Beginner This would be better off as the Heavy chart and then bumping your current one down to Standard. A lot of missing percussive jumps. Even if you intentionally left them out I feel that the file is very awkward to follow as a result. Again, a lot of those empty gaps could layer other stuff in the song and would make the file flow more fluidly. Holds could be trimmed shorter in length to reduce visual density. Overall, not bad at all but could use a more thorough layering job especially for a song as short as this. Maybe Heavy Not bad as a chart for beginners but severely underlayered and boring as a result. Tons of empty gaps that note placements could fill up which would also in turn make the file flow more fluidly. If you're gonna step a song as short as this, make it interesting by layering more thoroughly to say the least. Maybe 22 files in queue

Re: FFR Community Pack Winter 2011 (Submissions Open)
Result (S Rank) V2 (Midigami)
Beginner - Changing this to be the Challenge difficulty. There isn't anything remotely difficult in this to warrant Beginner chart isolation. - A few percussive layering inconsistencies with jump usages but it's not a big deal. - Acceptable. Yes Heavy - An improvement from V1. - Green notes don't really seem all that necessary aside from the ones you used to emphasize percussive hits. I'd recommend just changing the non percussive-layered ones into normal 4th/8th respectively only because it looks cleaner. - Beat59.5, holds were pretty randomly thrown in here as it's the only instance in the chart that even has holds. Have no holds or thoroughly layer holds for consistency, your call. - Acceptable as is. Yes DIAVOLO (rparty89) Offset was early by 0.04. Global offset problem probably. Light - Not too bad for an easier chart actually. I'd reduce the amount of holds down by maybe half the amount used, remove hands, and add/remove some jumps. Also shifting some patterns around so you're not basically hitting the same recycled patterns over and over again. Heavy - M5 missing piano chord jump. - Beat 35, the polyrhythmic layering here doesn't flow too well when hitting it as it's broken up and technically inaccurate. - M10+ percussive layering with jumps and/or bass layering with jumps would be good additions. Fills in gaps and improves file flow in general. - M14+ the holds are iffy and too sparsely layered. Have no holds or thoroughly layer holds for consistency, your call. - M16+ you choice to layer in jumpstream at this instance was completely random and doesn't transition well. Would've been better to start the jumpstream at M14 instead. - Beat67 missing 4th jump for bass/percussion. You decided to layer jumpstream here so it's better to keep your layering consistent up until the next verse of the song. - M18+ piano chord jumps on the 4ths are ignored. They'd've been excellent layering additions for this section. - M26+ I'd trim the holds to be shorter in length. Decreases visual density and improves flow by avoiding awkward holdstream patterns. - M38+ layering here is technically incorrect but that's not really a big issue. The bigger issue are your pattern choices which as just god awful to hit in this section. For instance, Beat154.667 has a hidden 24th mini-jack for no reason. - M65, absolutely not. This is the hardest and densest part in the entire file. - Overall, not too bad. Too many layering inconsistencies and errors for me to pass this off though. No The Sky of Sadness (leonid) Standard Acceptable. Yes Heavy Difficult but fun. Patterns aren't too hard to hit and they actually feel very slick when playing this, lol. No real commentary needed. Yes 24 files in queue. Thinking about closing submissions sometime near the end of next week.
