So I just finally tried the D6 song..... Only took me 6 tries to AAA (3 of them being restarts early on in the song) which is way less than round 1 and 2 took me. This song is SUPER over-rated. I wouldn't even call it a 76 more like a 74 or maybe 75. Only hard things are the first half of the 32nd stream that has a weird pattern to it and the solo with the cyan notes which... I didn't find really hard or 76+ worthy. But whatever atleast I'm not getting eliminated this round. I expect a AAA or die with how easy this round was.

EDIT: Oh now that I read some of the thread I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's along the 74 difficulty lines lol. Also wow D7 song is super hard x.x

Honestly, FUSE is easy for a 79 and would be more correctly classified as a 78, but those who call for a 74 need to stop smoking so much weed. The combination of speed, length and complexity of patterns definitely put this into very high FMO territory.

Wrong thread for this, sure, but a 77-78 rating seems most reasonable.

In all honesty, it doesn't matter how many attempts it takes you to AAA a song for you to determine the difficulty. Because, quite frankly Nai Nai would have been a 74 for me then since I BF'd it my first try back when it was all green notes. Reality would be a 80 for me in regards to that knowledge.

If you look at the patterns, that's what determines the difficulty. Patterns, Length, and the consistency of a chart, In my opinion.

In regards to Fuse -> The first 1000 notes (before the 32nd stream) is a Mid FMO in itself. Once it gets to the 32nd stream it bumps to a high FMO which immediately transitions into a low FGO with that final 24th stream. The patterns may be easy for some to hit, but doesn't take away from the fact that the file is not easy in any regards because out of the 4 parts to this song (First 700 notes, 2nd stream, last 24th awkward stream, and final part after that) all of them transition into a very low FGO. In turn a 79. The most I'd be willing to negotiate is that this could pass for a 78, but NOTHING lower than that IF that. Again, look at the other 79s. For example, Higan Tour. The only hard part of the song are the rolls in the beginning. That's my opinion. I can AAA the song if it wasn't for 2 or 3 rolls giving me constant goods. But, it still transitions itself into a 79. It fits well where it's at.

Same with Fuse. /2cents

Some evidence for and against your two examples:

Fuse:
This song is awesome, it's just a big-ass stream for the most part. I love those, (check my Tachyon scores to see examples of my overly skewed skillset) Once I figure out the 24th/48th patterns (#D5ghostingprobs) the song should fall into place well, only 2-0-0-0 on the 32nd section and that's like my 3rd run of the file.

Higan Tour: The rolls are like the only things I can do lol I suck at everything else

Yeah lol some people are different :P I for one always get about 4-10 goods in the rolls, then AAA the rest of the song xD

On EVERY 79 I have ONE part of each song that just messes me up, minus Ascension which should be a 80

let's bring in a happy medium and just remove all dossar files from the game make it a "749"

I made a thread in the difficulty subforum. Wait for it to be approved then we can argue there.

I have to say though that the rolls are the only part of Higan Tour I can count on being able to AAA or, at most, 1-2 goods every run... the rest is much harder for me.
I don't think that's a very good comparison, Higan Tour has a much more even difficulty spread than FUSE!!

lol I'll send you a skype PM later with my reasoning on it. While you still won't agree with my idea that it's a 74, I hope you'll be able to see where some people in this thread (including myself) are coming from.

In other news: D7 being all cute with its AAA or die cutoff already. (sun)
