Wouldn't using a good-converted score as the points just be a lot simpler, more evenly and fairly weighted, and more familiar?

Probably, But everyone won't have the same max raw score since we're crossing divisions. I could instead use "points below max raw score" and be a lot more familiar for everyone.

I'm assuming songs will be picked for us unless it's just a "play any song between X and X difficulties." type of thing.

That's p much what I meant yeah

Say two different divisions had scores of 1942-12-1-0-2 and 1438-7-0-2-4
They'd have respective scores of 14.2 and 12.6
Then use lowest etc

Everyone is currently split into 5 different divisions, but these are not final. Some of the boundaries are based on the sign ups so far to promote as fair of competition as possible
