also, if you look at that list... there are ELEVEN different stepfile artists in the queue alone. another 4 or 5 unique people with files that were already added to the game.

this shows that we ARE in fact taking files from more than just 2 or 3 people... if y'all actually thought that was the case.

believe me, we WANT new people to step files. we WANT new people to get their files into the game.... but we certainly aren't going to compromise and allow a "bad" file into the game just because it is from a new stepfile maker. which goes back to the point of "most of the time, i don't even know who the stepfile author is when i'm playing the file"

and, already another 28 emails in my inbox for next week.

No, we do not care about the feelings of the file artists when we judge files. Yes, we care about popular demand. Yes, we want there to be MORE good file artists who satisfy said popular demand. No, we will not accept files that we do not think will satisfy said popular demand.

If you want us to all of a sudden support the minority over the majority, you're fighting a losing battle. Otherwise, what's the complaint?

you forget... when LD was adding every sim that was sent to him, he was lucky to get 1 sim a week. he didn't have a choice in what to add.

No. Too bad. It's entirely up to you whether you have fun making files or not--we couldn't care less how much fun you have doing it. The system itself is NEVER going to be changed to accomodate newbie file authors. If you don't like it, tough.

not only are you receiving complaints from pros because of the tight-ended judging, but also you're receiving (different) complaints from the newbs because of, once again, the tight-ended judging.

Which is much better than receiving complaints from the masses about how the quality of files has suddenly dropped. Nah, sorry, we'll keep it as is, thanks.

I like things the way they are, nothing wrong with tight end judging. Tight end lets the good files end, kicks bad ones out, what more do you need?
