What does it take to lag out this amazing peice of machinery?!
I hate you.. my shit won't do anyhting but that on Normal-High (Sb prog, task manager.. respectively).. I haven't tried just running it on real time with nothing else open though, just to see how fast it goes.. Im afraid after I set it to real time, I won't be able to take it off, because of the humongous(sp?) amount of lag it will create...

Guido - My apologies. Why not just go under the name "GuidoHunter" and make it really easy for me? Or if you wanted to somehow make it unobvious for me, Ares113. Tny went under his AIM account for some reason, but I knew it was him when I saw it.

Moogy - I plan to try Half-Life 2 on max quality. UT2k4 was a pushover. As was Rise of Nations. Doom just isn't my type of game.

87x - With half of my computer's specs, I'd say that it working on High for you is pretty darn good. If I closed out my other programs I could get it to run at 40%.

~Squeek

PS - as of now, we're ranked 235. That's a jump of about 60 slots and we're the newest team on the site. We are so awesome.

PPS - Qreepy is apparently on the site but teamless. Moogy is on the site but hasn't downloaded the program yet. Me? I'm pointing out the obvious.

PPPS - I'm owning in the Overall Rate.

Some quick updates.

As expected, we jumped a huge amount in the standings. 60 or 70 ranks over some teams that have been there for months. By tomorrow, we should break into the 100s (AKA, under 200 in rank). Keep it up, yo.

Qreepy - You've logged into the site but you haven't affiliated yourself with our team. Also you need to get the program installed to actually benefit the team.

The rest of you that aren't on the team - What are you waiting for?! Sign up. NOW. Do it if you want to be cool. The method to ensure your work is going towards Team FFR is on page 3.

Yea... I'll be dropping by the time I go to bed tonight. I'm at 60% total and I'm basically the only one doing work. Plus, it got really boring once I figured out I'm only trying to solve ONE POSSIBILITY out of millions.

It's good enough that I'll be taking the number one slot by the time I turn it off for good. I've served a small amount of purpose. That's all that matters.

I've been running mine constantly for 57:29:00... im only getting about 375200.00 cEMs/second with a steady .9 increase on the number every second.. im only at 23%, and I plan on leaving this thing on until I atleast complete the equation assigned.. I noticed that everyone else stopped except moogy and soccr... which sucks.. but oh well..

I recently started seeing performance decreases with that running (my processor can only run at 100% with no problems for so long. So, I don't run it while I'm on the comp, and I'm often too lazy to turn it back on.

I have you tried just keeping it at idle?.. I mean mines been oging for 58 hours.. about 13 or more of that has been on realtime.. and im not experiecing any lag.. I don't know.. this has basically turned into personal benefit for me.. seeing how im not going to be able to place ffr in first place by myself.. i just want to find a really large prime number..

I'm back running on idle, so that's how mine may stay. If I just get one number done, I'll feel all proud and whatnot to know that I, and only I, found out whether or not [(10223*2^6531461)+1] is prime.

im glad this program has a restart on it... my parents reset the computer and I have it set to come back on when it starts up.. apparently its still running the same K and N as before.. with the same over all percentage done... So the 65+ hours i had it running before wasn't wasted..

Hmm. When I stopped it once, I had about 965 blocks left, but when I restarted it, I had a little over a thousand. While it still saved most of my progress, I'm not sure as to why I lost those blocks. Maybe it was just during a time when the server was down and it couldn't send the data back. I also shut it down a few times when I needed the performance, and due to that it says I've only done 117 blocks, even though I've actually completed far more in my twenty-three and a half hour run time.

I wouldn't recommend shutting it down for these reasons, but it may work just fine for you.

No wonder you were going so fast. Funny part is with just this one I passed you. Then quit. I got 60% done total.
