Actually, no, it's not. I actually took a semester of radio broadcasting, and you have to specially type up what you're going to read on-air. All caps, double-spaced, phonetic spelling. When you just have stuff shoved at you, combined with one of the top five rules of broadcast media being to leave as little dead air as possible, you get mistakes that have to be corrected later and incidentally fill more airtime that could have otherwise been silent.

Anyone recall the police chase turned snuff film a few months ago? Even with the five-second delay, the actual moment of death was still broadcast. Mistakes can and do happen, and not just when people think they've gone to commercial. Give 'em a break, this is tough stuff.

Thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families, though.

Well, a good journalist have to avoid mistakes at all cost, they should be reporting facts to the audience, they have to make sure what they're saying is accurate. If not, I'm better reading my news on Wikipedia.
I was a little bit fast on my first comment. After posting it, I heard that it was the police that wrongly identify the gunman. Makes me wonder how those small mistakes can turn lives upside down.

What I really want to know is why the hell he was let into the school in the first place. They say that the doors are locked during the day. Now they're trying to say that oh it's because his mother worked there, but wouldn't they question her 20 year old son trying to access the school while she was teaching class? They also said he was masked, so something isn't right there.

The shooter's mother was a teacher at the school. Depending on well the staff knew this guy, he easily could have walked in wearing a backpack filled with his gear.

He managed to walk in with 4 guns (that's what's being reported now) That seems a bit unlikely to me. I also don't think with the way security is in most schools that they'd let an adult walk in that wasn't a parent to a student with a backpack or something. Also schools generally call down to the teacher before allowing anyone to head towards classrooms. Don't assume that I reacted blindly. I have my reasons for thinking that it's suspicious regardless of his mother being a teacher at the school.
