I was really happy with the progress made. All the scores except the bottom one were today, lol. I guess mashing 70-85 songs all day must have helped.

Yeah, it looks like all four bases are covered this round, so nobody is going to win a big jackpot. I'm pretty sure R5 will be the last jackpot round.

I wondered this at first too. It is because scores submitted late get stat points that are in addition to the thousand that were distributed for each stat, at an extremely reduced rate. If he were accepting late scores without giving additional points he would have to take some back from you after the fact, which would not be fair at all.

Eh, I still submitted on the 09/10 time window so it wouldn't be late anyway. The first extension post didn't mention anything about ending the round before the end of the day.

this exactly. because you can see exactly which stat has the best distribution after i've calculated the spread, then unfortunately by submitting late, you have a stupid advantage over everyone

everyone posting scores -- he did officially end the round; there was no extension on score submissions to my knowledge. The extension was essentially for himself (for logistics purposes, i.e. being too busy to update).

Which is exactly what happened. I didn't do Round 1 until I realized too late that it ended. Thus I was able to see everybody else's scores.

The extention messed my stat pick up a bit too, I picked my stat hours before the round would have closed. At the time it seemed like a decent idea, but after later submissions, eh, oh well. Round 10 is what it will be all about.

Finally, after what kinda seemed like an eternity of waiting, it's here.

I have to apologize because of all the delays, whether attempting to let people submit their scores, or because of life/schoolwork/etc.
but it's here.

So, Round 10 has a couple extra things, that you have to worry about.

But Round 10 is the round of dreams.
The round of comebacks.
The round of hoping that all the failures weren't for nothing.
also because we can't have TC_Halogen running away with all that strength, right?

Please submit to me all four of the stats for round 10. Order them from highest to lowest priority.

I will calculate your stat gain as normal for round 10 with the highest priority stat you submit.
I will give 75% of your earned stat points for round 10 to your 2nd priority stat.
I will give 50% of your earned stat points for round 10 to your 3nd priority stat.
I will give 25% of your earned stat points for round 10 to your lowest priority stat.

In addition, there will be a extra boost depending on how far back you ar in terms of total stat point count~

Round 10 also requires you to pick your own song, with the stipulations being:
The song must be longer than 1:45.
The song must be in the difficulty range as listed below.

D1 - 20+
D2 - 30+
D3 - 55+
D4 - 65+
D5 - 73+
D6 - 85+

and that's it. you may change songs, as long as the difficulty and length are appropriate. You still can't change your stat pick once you've sent it in. Good luck.

as for battle calculations, I said I was going to release it, so here.

hp = total stat * 100
lower total stat goes first because higher stat = more hp = bigger = slower (logic A++)

Compare attacking dex to defending dex.
If attacking dex is greater, take the % of the attacking dex that the defending dex, and multiply by .25, giving you the evasion rate
If attacking dex is lower, take the % of the defending dex that is the attacking dex, and multiply by .25, then add subtract from 50%

(if your dex is higher, you'll have >25% evasion, if you have less, you'll have <25%)

if the attack hits, go to lucky dodge check

if RNG-sama favors you, you will get dumb luck and dodge the attack. This chance is given by your luck stat divided by 4000.

If the attack (finally) hits
check for critical. Take the attacker's Luck stat directly and divide by 3000 for the critical rate.

If you don't make a critical hit, but your int is higher than the defender's int, you have a 50% rate of making a critical hit re-check.

if you still don't make a critical hit, the damage you deal is equal to your strength.

critical hit damage is determined by adding together INT and LUK, then dividing by 1000 and adding 1. Multiply this number to your Strength for your critical hit damage.
