@ lurker: It's because he was in D3 in the previous round.

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 3 has started!
It SORTS people but has absolutely no effect on whether or not you make it to the next round. So again previous rounds are meaningless when it comes to future rounds of the tournament. Last tourney I believe they did, but I'm not doing it that way.

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 3 has started!
Dear D5,
Stop AAAing the D5 song so that we don't have a huge elimination next round. Thanks, 1337 Ninja

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 3 has started!
Sightread 10-0-0-1 on the D3 song, first in the cutoff area haha. Could definitely AAA too.
EDIT: Bleh, had 1-0-0-1 going into the last long stream, AAA'd it, then split two jumps and ended up with 4-0-0-1 lol. Still okay.

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 3 has started!
sightread 7 clean on night walker (: timing the trills are wierd fer some reason, then the 24th stream has a lot of quickly changing patterns. Props to hi19 for a well stepped ssh file ;D

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 3 has started!
My score says 3 clean on Finder, but I don't think I'll have too much trouble AAA'ing this. I might even dare to say I have a chance at being 1st to AAA.
edit: getting closer

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 3 has started!
Night Walker really isn't a hard file, but you just have to keep consistent in the long-ish streams. I screwed up on a runningmen section and got a good and a boo. I can easily AAA this.

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 3 has started!
I found that playing flat-fingered on songs that are at a reasonable speed helps maintain my accuracy. Let the pad of your finger keep itself glued to the keys, and in a way, it "forces" you to hit arrows when you need to hit them. It reduces random boos, or possibly goods due to slight differences in reaction time when you lift your fingers a lot more.
Works well for Night Walker, Finders, and 0. Doesn't work of course on faster, more complex/less consistent songs, such as the D6 one. Last edited by bmah; 11-30-2011 at 02:25 PM.. |

I finally found out how to jumptrill the rolls in the first section of Finder, but now I always mess up somewhere in the second half

Re: 6th Official FFR Tournament - Round 3 has started!
Finally! Got a Blackflag on Amen Iraq
I would have never gotten it had I not been told to jumptrill the fast rolls. Apparently doing that works better |
