Realistically guards could be an x amount of number, say there are enough guards to make a 12+ player game, then I would consider a 2-player Assassination team, but anything 12 or lower I feel would take some of the uniqueness out.

Then again, piggybacking off of Tps' idea, would could play my game as a mini-game, considering it wouldn't play out longer than maybe a week.

Also yes, the entire point of what Dev said reflects on the idea that the REAL oni can't claim oni. So we just force everyone else to claim oni on day one, and the one that doesn't claim has to be the oni rofl

2 things fiction: one, what are the Red Millers? And two, by Anonymous signups, do you mean that we won't even know just who's in the game at all? Or will there be a full player list, and we choose from there?

red millers do not know they are millers. Only I know they are millers.

Millers seer the color attributed to them. A red miller seers red but receives a human PM.

It's an anonymous game. There will be no player roster. At all. Ever.

The Assassin has one kill that they can use at any time during the game, typically after being lynched. Their goal is to identify the King so that they can use this kill against him. If the Assassin successfully kills the King, then they win, otherwise the King and Guards win. The Assassin doesn't need to survive to win.

This setup differs from normal mafia in that the "town" has more information than the "mafia" does. Every Guard that is lynched narrows the number of targets the Assassin must consider, so the challenge for the Guards is to find out who the Assassin is as quickly as possible without giving away the identity of the King.

The Guards know the identity of the King, but the King doesn't know who anyone else is.

I'd be down for this. Simple, straightforward, no freaky powers to trip people (newbies?) up. Also, this being TWG 100, this seems like a great time to reach out to the general community, get out of circlejerk mode. THIS IS A CELEBRATION PEOPLE
