sending five files your way moches :3
- GOLD RUSH (What happened with our collab Raine :C) - My Friend Mudkip (rip ODMix2) - El Chavo Del Ocho (aka Eduardo Salazar's OP & obligatory mexican sitcom OP song) - Roxas (Third times the charm!) - Head Phone Actors (NND Chorus Version) (might need to poop out a second chart for this...and tweak a few things but not sure where exactly :/) might send more if I have motivation xd

my bad, downloading right now
judgments for submissions so far 1. (moches) Want U Back v2 just tweaked a few things Poopit mentioned in an Oni chart. planning to fully chart this song later since we don't have very many beginner files 2. (hi19hi19 vs Scintill) The Cataclysm mad guitar soloz. sick file. that said, I'm a bit surprised that all the 24ths/32nds fall right into place. then again, at this speed it hardly matters. bottom line is YES 3. (Valor) XTREMEPOLESTA could be good scoring file but some parts are either ridiculous or sloppy. a little polishing would go a long way on this imo. maybe add an easier chart? CONDITIONAL YES 4. (James May) GOLD RUSH fun at parts, FAR FAR too technical in others. results in some ridiculous patterns (32nd trills into a quad? 64th rolls? really?). layering to 16ths unclear...potential in parts but no dice. NO 5. (James May) Roxas only spotted like two misrhythms so well done. good easy file, well-stepped and the grace notes make it a fun challenge for beginners. you really have to learn how to make patterns, though: random patterns stick out even more when the instrument they're following is the ONLY instrument playing. structure is key. YES but I want to see those patterns fixed. 6. (James May) Head Phone Actors quite fun song, and at times this file captures the rhythms well. problem is straightlayering leading to difficulty spikes (this seems to be a big problem with your files, tbqh) and unclear pattern usage making it hard to get a grasp of anything in the file other than the rhythms. (also: the sync is realllly weird. yellow note syndrome in the slow parts, blue note syndrome in some of the fast parts. figure that out.) needs work but could be pretty great...as is, NO 7. (James May) El Chavo del Ocho cute song and file but so many freezes. when the song is this simple, accurate pitch relevancy is key, but unfortunately the fact that you accent random pattern choice with freezes only makes the lack of PR stick out even more. nice try at accuracy/scoring factor with the grace notes, but very inconsistently followed. I could see this being a great beginner file, but it'll take a LOT of work...for now, NO 8. (Midigami) My Friend Mudkip one of your better submissions. misrhythms here and there, some blatant PR errors, and the difficulty spikes. props on having four charts. YES but I'll be requiring fixes on this file sometime down the road Last edited by moches; 01-6-2013 at 09:22 AM.. |

also Thrillseeker owned, adding that to the pack stat
Edit: James, I'd suggest choosing two or three files you REALLY want to work on and focusing on refining those as much as possible. all of your files show glimmers of good things, but you really need to begin developing a consistent and polished style. edit: Also, the spikes in Mudkip, I'm guessing its mainly referring to the trills?

Just sent two songs.
![]() Edit: I just noticed I didn't put my cdtitle in one of the songs. If they get accepted, using the one in the other song will be perfect.

I got all submissions, updating OP right now
by the way PLEASE PLEASE label your files correctly. I'm trying to find out who made what file right now and it's a complete nightmare. All folders should be titled (stepartist) Song Title. This makes organizing submissions way easier for me ![]() Verdicts for first batch 1. (moches) Want U Back v2 YES 2. (hi19hi19 vs Scintill) The Cataclysm YES 3. (Valor) XTREMEPOLESTA CONDITIONAL 4. (James May) GOLD RUSH NO 5. (James May) Roxas CONDITIONAL 6. (James May) Head Phone Actors NO 7. (James May) El Chavo del Ocho NO 8. (Midigami) My Friend Mudkip CONDITIONAL |
