Bodies In The House Next Door: This chart is weird and the bits of emptiness in the chart should've had a couple notes. Rating: 4/10
Excessive Sex: This file was pretty fun and it was onbeat. The song is pretty catchy too. Rating: 8/10
In Flux (5 Note Piano Prelude): This chart is insane but it was really fun to play and it makes a good veteran song. Rating: 8/10
MASCARADA: I don't think this should be in Dance2 maybe Misc or something like that. Anyway, onto the song review. The chart was pretty fun and it makes you want to play it again. Rating: 7.5/10
Scars Left By Time: Wow, my fingers could not keep up with this chart (jacks and trills). It was a fun chart overall, though. Rating: 8/10
super mario bros theme (original Nintendo is awesome remix): What is this piece of crap, honestly. YOSHl, normally your charts are really amazing but this one I felt was a dump of random notes and a little overstepped in parts. The song I also felt got kind of annoying to listen to (other than the fact it's supposed to be a Mario remix, but it sounded like a guy just screaming random stuff).

Bodies In The House Next Door
As hi19 said, this has no energy whatsoever and it only got in because people think ~art~ is what makes a simfile good no matter what. It's stepped well but those breaks are just very discouraging for playing.

Excessive Sex
Nice jack theory usage . Amazing song from Vospi and you did it justice.

In Flux (5 Note Piano Prelude)
You step piano so accurately lol. Really nice job with this one, flowed to the song well.

MASCARADA
Always enjoy your simfiles, Scintill. This was fun.

Scars Left By Time
Found the song monotonous but this was pitched well, nice job. Good for wristjacks for beginners.

super mario bros theme (original NES is awesome)
Got to stop overstepping dude, this showed that entirely. You need to give your simfiles some breathing room instead of cramping everything together.

Yeah honestly I can appreciate overstepped more than most (cheers to others like YMIA, #1 overstepped file fans) but there hits a point where it's a bit silly.
I do feel like that line was crossed, which is a shame because as I said the idea behind how super mario bros was stepped has a lot of potential.

lmao wow super mario looks like shit converted rofl. a lot of those white notes are either really early or really late. this file definitely needs framer fixes to make those white notes align with the red/blue notes

ps i judged this file and accepted it because i think this file is baller hate on me

Wow, thanks for the warm reviews about In Flux, guys, I'm really super glad you liked it. Come to think of it, it's been close to two years since I began stepping it, it evolved pretty much as I learned how to work things out... Thanks again! :')

Here are my quick reviews if anyone's ever interested, I know my reviews in this kind of thread is mostly based on music choice, but bare with me!

Scars left by time: This really surprised me. I found the jacks surprisingly playable, even though at times some jumps made it pretty hard for me not do boo or miss! There's a missing arrow that really bugged me in the beginning, though, I don't have a clue why it was omitted.
Mascarada: If I had judged this in the batch, I would've given 10/10. This is just perfectly stepped guitar. Scintill is the only one that can make FFR truly feel like Guitar Hero in a good way. Kudos.
Excessive sex: Nothing shockingly new about this file that particularly appealed me, it was cleanly stepped and had nice hands. There's the weird rhythmic part though that I found hard to groove to. That's what I can think of. XP gj wv
Bodies in the house next door: Perhaps giving a 9/10 was too much on my part, but I still find the file to be of great precision and I appreciate that. It's ambient and filled with gaps, but it's also short and easy on the ear. I still like this file and think it's a nice addition. I never got to know who the heck mi40 was, though. ;_;
Super mario bros. remix: Somehow I think I remember playing this, yet I don't know from where. Did I judge this?... Can't find the review. Anyway, I sadly despise the mentality behind the layering of the jumps and whatnot. While the file is coherent, it seems to me that the feel of the file is lost in translation. I wonder how this passed, too, since I can only find reviews that give 7/10 and less... oh well. GG Yoshl

Excessive Sex rules (8 so glad this file is finally in-game.

Super mario bros: This song is AWFUL. So terrible. Bad.

Bodies In The House Next Door: I know that it is only a 14, but the long breaks to sudden bursts just feel a tad annoying. It feels like more like waiting than anything else, which is fine in easier files, but then with the technical patterns I'm sure it will be a harder file to attack for players who AAA around that difficulty level.

MASCARADA: Not much to say, really good music, pretty fun file. The mini-jacks caught me off guard, but aside from that it was awesome.

Excessive Sex: Awesome song, and an awesome chart to back it up.

In Flux (5 Note Piano Prelude): I found the song and the chart to be fairly enjoyable. The only real thing I genuinely disliked was a really silly pattern somewhere around 700 I believe. It should have been kept a roll, the speeds it is set at for a 4231 pattern are pretty stupid for a 61. I'm disliking it more and more as I replay it honestly. I sightread AAA'd both songs (the 62 and the 69) after failing terribly to play that pattern several times, just so you know how silly I find it to be.

Scars Left By Time: Very straightforward, consistent, and a nice addition to the few mainly jack style files on FFR. Pretty nice song as well!

super mario bros theme (original NES is awesome): I can see why some people don't like this chart. Some of the awkward or bursty patterns look like they can really dish out some goods. I thought the file was alright though all things considered, probably because I really enjoyed the song and got into it. Either way, I thought it was okay.

I very much agree with MN. MASCARADA is incredibly fun. I'm sooo glad that the melody lent itself to really good steps, because keeping the percussion layering to a minimum made this more enjoyable than if it was heavier.

Also, when I played Bodies... blah blah blah... I found myself staring into the void of FFR's arrow-less black abyss way more often than I would've liked. Then oh hey! guitar noises and stuff. Nope, more black abyss......

And since it got 'bottom-paged' (under standard settings):

Bodies In The House Next Door - This chart was dumb. Its like: guitar strum, 10 secs of empty notes, another guitar strum, more emptiness, one more guitar strum, emptiness, end. Easy charts are fine, but leaving big ass gaps like that in the chart are a turn off.

Excessive Sex - Been awhile since I've listened to a Vospi song (never played Video out B). Song was pretty interesting, chart was pretty straightforward.

In Flux (5 Note Piano Prelude) - This was one of my favorites of the week. Yay for piano music, despite the amount of lag spikes I got while playing it was still an enjoyable chart. Could see myself playing this over just for fun.

MASCARADA - This was my other favorite of the week. I like the music choice, different style of music then what is mainly released. The chart flowed well with the song making it really enjoyable. Another chart I wouldnt mind playing over for fun.

Scars Left By Time - Was not fond of this chart, those one hand jumps thrown into the long jacks irked me and just didnt find them enjoyable at all. The jacks were at a comfortable speed, its just throwing in those one hand jumps were bleh.

super mario bros theme (original NES is awesome) - song sucks, chart sucks, yoshl sucks.

okay, so i actually played bodies. and well... i see what hi19 means now. that ambient was not what i had in mind, lol.

personally i didn't like UD all that much because the first half was largely empty and seemed to troll the d5 players that were forced to competitively whore the song to score. Also, unlike Pandora, it wasn't FUN.
Despite the front-page post seeing it as a remedial follow-up, this isn't really all that much better.

will probably play the other songs later this week

Bodies In The House Next Door is a mess to read for its difficulty range. Recoloring would've been a tremendous improvement.
