It's already 2012.. There's a contradiction to this pack's name anyway downloading lol

Technically, this pack should be called FFR Community Pack Holidays 2011, but everyone thinks winter starts on Black Friday and ends on New Year's Day. So yeah...

Are you actually saying that it isn't Winter right now? Regardless of whether it's also the holidays, or whether it closed before the end of winter, it was still a pack during the season of winter.

i seriously don't think I'll get all of these files done, but I'll make sure I note what I played. playing the hardest charts unless otherwise noted (also this excludes Beginner-level hard files)

A Far East Fantasy Flowering Game Night (Condoct) [2 charts]
Accept Bloody Fate (Kaneh) [2 charts] - very refreshing to play. speaking as somebody whose stepping method is very OCD, it's nice to see a completely different approach. a few minor things I found a little inconsistent/weird but who cares the file rules
After Laughter (Niko) [3 charts]
Armament Armed Arm (Scylaax) [2 charts]
BabeL ~Next Story~ (leonid) [2 charts] - loved this. felt like Brainstorm at times. very erratic but never stupid or unfair, great for scoring. btw played easier chart on this
Blackened (Baq12) [2 charts]
Byakuya Gentou (leonid) [2 charts] - the harder chart. felt kinda cramped at times, like you were torn between following all of the swing or letting different melodies take the spotlight at times. good scoring value but I'd have stepped this completely differently. (btw bmah/I were collabing on this an eternity ago and it never got done, damn it)
Captain Murasa (Niko) [3 charts]
Circus Speedy Mix (Kommisar) [2 charts] - this...is surprisingly fun
concon (Gundam-Dude) [3 charts] - simple and sweet. great color theory (although it may be hard to read for beginners)
COOLISH WALK (Kommisar) [2 charts] - I always enjoy Kommisar anime-swing files
Dark Prism (Gundam-Dude) [3 charts]
Ecclesia (Reshiram) [5 charts] - great jack theory and flow (especially for having so many long freezes wow). felt a few patterns were a bit arbitrary and could have had clearer motifs
ecoFEAR (Scylaax) [2 charts]
Flames Within These Black Feathers (Szalu) [2 charts]
Heaven's Race Guitar Style (Sargon) [4 charts]
Hysteric Soda (Gundam-Dude) [1 chart]
INITIATIVE (Yume) [3 charts]
Innovation (Detrimentalist) [2 charts] - awesome. simply stepped but magnificent flow.
KOMMICORE (0 & Torrent) [1 chart] - I played this just to get it over with, but ended up liking it a little. seems like it'll have a decent lifespan over at the Brag Boards
Negus Nagast (Wineandbread) [2 charts] - I heard the sample and saw the cdtitle and immediately jizzed. I really, really wanted to love this...as it is it's awesome but my expectations were so high there probably wasn't any file that would satiate them
Now A NEW Day (ca25nada & Gundam-Dude) [3 charts] + [4 solo charts]
Overture 1928 (Baq12) [2 charts]
Pair of Aces (Midigami) [4 charts] - congrats on getting a file in here Midi :') this isn't too bad; the main problem seems to be that you cram a little bit too much into the file instead of focusing on a few aspects of the song and following those
Phalanx (Keywii) [2 charts] - started off nicely (and I've always wanted a file for this song) but eventually it got a bit too weird. awkward bursts really stole a lot from the impact of the progression and as a result the file felt anticlimactic
Pop (Kommisar vs Rogdor) [1 chart] - some might see this as overlong. incredible file though
Rave7 (hi19hi19) [3 charts]
Reasiness (Niko) [2 charts] + [1 solo chart]
Result (S Rank) (Midigami) [2 charts]
RPG (Yume) [3 charts] - nice song choice hahaa. pretty solid file, a few sections felt cramped because of ~overly long stylish~ freezes but the file is focused and well-crafted
SAMBA de ASPEL (bmah) [2 charts]
Session 9 - Chronicles - (Scylaax) [3 charts] - parts of this were exactly what I wanted, but other choices felt slightly weird. a few parts could have been sliightly more interesting (that long synth stream near the middle actually has a syncopation on the jumps that would have been nice to have seen). pretty good file overall and I think it'll hold up well over time
SIN (Nohara&Yume) [1 chart]
Star Trail (Gundam-Dude & LongGone) [3 charts] + [3 solo charts]
Super Bass (WTFBrandon) [1 chart] - yes you did yes you did
Super Soaker (gnr61) [1 chart] - you had me fooled thinking this was going to be a nice easy file at the beginning..the file gets more obscure as it goes and I'm not even sure all those notes are right but damned if this wasn't a blast to play. btw 126 perfect sightread on a pretty crappy keyboard hell yeah rusty skills
The Sky of Sadness (leonid) [2 charts]
Turning Japanese (Kommisar) [2 charts]
Ulterior Boss Battle (hi19hi19) [2 charts] - FFR-ish but fun. sort of like a tora file
Ultrasounds! (Rin-Dude) [2 charts]
Vertex (Scylaax) [2 charts]
worldenddominator (Profraine) [3 charts] - every time I play one of your files, I keep thinking that it would be awesome only if you had tweaked the little details at the margins. when this file stays on track, it's great, but I feel like the rough patches make it seem worse than it really is. you could have tried alternating layering (on that note, in the battle between consistency/flow, flow always wins), rearranging the patterns a little, etc; that's what differentiates a decent file from a great one. you have gotten so much better at filemaking, so props, but a little extra revision would take your files a long way.
Yellow Head Joe (Lynn) [2 charts]

lol, I just spotted a roll (the blue freeze on 3.95) on COOLISH WALK [Oni] that might be a problem for 3.9 users unless they're using 3.9+. Just pointing it out just in case there's any 3.9 users

the fact that "awesome" is a word moches regularly uses to describe my files (see: last regrets) makes me feel warm inside, barring the fact that coffee is probably my bloodstream right now
