I've occasionally thought these same things myself. But then I remember that these people CHOSE to be telemarketers. They had to become telemarketers. Which is why I have absolutely no moral problems with stringing one of them along for 5 minutes for my own amusement.

The National No-Call list is new right? I heard about that on the news somewhere.

I get telemarketers once in a while, but I just repeat what they say until they sound unprofessional then just hang up.

Phone call in a nutshell:
"want a magazine?"
"do YOU want a magazine?"
(repeat)
*click*

Maybe they can't work with other people in close proximity.

ITT people who think they're cool by mocking someone doing their job.

In regards to the actual reason this thread was made, yes, if it's the same person you can take legal action. If it's all different ones you're screwed until you get on the List.

I LOVE ****ing around with those guys! It's just one of life's little pleasures.

For a while I put on an Arabic voice and tried to convert telemarketers to Islam (of course without knowing anything about the religion :P).
Last few I've got, I pretend to be a male prostitute and try to sell them sex. XD

Anyway, @OP: if they're becoming a serious problem, you could probably file a complaint, but, come on, they're only telemarketers.
