2013/14 NHL Playoff Pick'em

Welcome one and all to the 4th annual NHL Playoff Pick'em Challenge!

All sorts of credits and other bragging rights will be on the line once again this year, as well as a few changes.

Before anything though, here come
THE RULES
1.) All picks MUST be in before puck drop of the first game of a round. I do realize this is a tight window for later rounds, and I may have some leverage (pick drop of second period if it's a 0-0 game).

2.) NO EDITTING YOUR PICKS! Make sure of your choices before sending them in. You cannot change them once they're posted, and if you do edit your picks, you will be disqualified for the round.

3.) As always, to be in the running for Playoff Pick Champion, you must participate in all 4 rounds of the playoffs.

4.) Have fun.

5.) Don't shave.

THE SET-UP
All picks must be made in this format:
The winner in bold, the loser plain.
Ex: PIT vs. CBJ or STL vs CHI

I will accept the abbreviations, or you can just copy and paste the match-ups in the second post, although you may want to cut out some of the excess.

Also, I'm adding a new prize!
The Playoff Bracket Challenge
Basically, we'll pull what they do in NCAA basketball: We're going to do a FULL bracket.
This is a separate challenge with a separate prize.

You DON'T have to participate in the bracket in order to play in the pick'em, but let's be fair: it's free, and it's fun.

In this, you will need to make ALL of your picks at ONCE. Again, deadline is before puck drop of the first game.
You don't need to keep these picks for you round-by-round picks, so worry not. Again, this is separate.

You will score points for however many correct winners you have.
- If you correctly guess the round winner, you score 2 points.
- If you correctly guess a round winner, but not the correct opponent, you score 1 point.
Ex: You guess BOS v MTL, but in reality, it was BOS v TBL, you would score 1 point for correctly guess BOS even though they did not play MTL.

The Set-Up for the brackets should look like so:
Winner v Loser. I will have a base bracket for round one set up in the third post.

Please remember that teams do not re-seed after the rounds. They will stay inter-division until a "division champion" is crowned.


PRIZES
Donations will allow the prizes to increase, so these are just basic from what I have in my credit pool.
Round 1: 200 per correct guess. 3400 bonus if you can go 8-0 (5000 total).
Round 2: 300 per correct guess. 2800 bonus if you can go 4-0 (4000 total).
Round 3: 400 per correct guess. 2200 bonus if you can go 2-0 (3000 total).
Round 4: 500 for the correct guess. 4500 bonus if you can correctly guess the champion AND the amount of games they win in (5000 total).
Pick'em Champion: 50000 for best overall record.
Bracket Champion: 50000 for most correct guesses in the bracket.
