Re: What's happening in here?
They can be in the game, I would just prefer they were out of the level ranks
If we want to keep noobies away from them, maybe they can be unlocked like secret songs? Also, I liked the idea someone brought up about having secret songs unlocked by GT rather than credits so I don't have to constantly worry about dropping below 150k. I've well earned the secret songs by this point. |

Because honestly, the argument of "I had to work so hard for my SSSG AAA it's unfair that other people later will get it easier" is mostly selfish I think. You can still hold the prestige of AAAing an offsync song, just don't allow it to get in the way of making FFR better i guess something something, completely random rant lol |

Re: What's happening in here?
Legacy Files only hold sentimental value along with being a part of FFR history, and when it comes to the game now, they really have no purpose of being there imo.
We have plenty of step artists who can literally replace all legacy with newer, more synced, and overall better files.

Re: What's happening in here?
The legacy file issue can just be resolved with what has already been happening with the original crowdpleaser/Revo Etude and make them any form of token. Not only will there be better files of the legacy files, new users who unlock them might be intrigued with what they unlocked and play it.

If R^3 could implement the same search filter as Velo, this would greatly help new users filter through types of songs that they want nothing to do with (like your friend with Legacy files). Even further filter options could be throw in there too such as: - Hide/Show Legacy Files - Hide/Show Files with Backgrounds - Hide/Show Token/Skill Token songs - Hide/Show Locked Tokens/Skill Tokens - Hide/Show Tier Point Songs - Search by Artist and/or Step Author - Search by Length (between 2 specific times, not just 'under 1 minute or over 3 minutes) - Search by Genre (although some genre's in this game seem made up or incorrect for the song) - Search by Number of AAA/FC for an individual song - Search by Release Date - Search by Most Played songs - Search by Average Raw Score - Search by Average GT Score One other search method I just thought of before posting this is 'Search by Recommended Song for Your Skill Level' or 'Recommended Songs for Improving Your Skill Level'. What is meant by this is there could be a handful of songs (preferably more than less since playing the same 4-5 songs would get boring so upwards of 20 sounds reasonable) that are aimed at improving your skill. For example: - You're sitting at mid-D3 range and you want to push through to D4. You can search for songs recommended for your skill level which would be mid-high 50's (maybe a select few low 60's). These songs would contain skill sets that are standard for the next division level. You would play these songs until you can SDG them or until you can see yourself skillboosting. This would be ideal for new players since they have a choice of nearly 2000 songs, knowing the right songs to play for their skill level would not only make the game more enjoyable, they will actually be able to see themselves improving. Alternatively, you could 'Search by Skill' where a similar concept to the one above is implemented but with a bunch of songs that contain the same skill type. So a set of songs that focus specifically on JS/HS or Stream or Jacks or Runningmen. This could help strengthen areas that some people are particularly weak in.

Re: What's happening in here?
Or not. Would have been nice to know everything said before meant something and there was progress happening behind the scenes, but hopefully there is an update at some point.

Re: What's happening in here?
This is why I love the FFR API =D, I can make my own filters and find the easiest songs I haven't AAA yet =D

Re: What's happening in here?
I'm going to ping Synthlight again so he can post in here. There are two potential developers that could be joining the dev team and I'd rather have someone on the dev team give the update. I shouldn't be expected to have all the answers.
