Re: TWG 206: Betrayal at House on the Hill GAME THREAD
Well, heres how i look at this-If you read all of the thread, do you have a list of players that you wouldn't want to vote / would? Do you have players you think are playing better then others?
Why would I save them if they aren't playing the game?
That makes sense, but in practice we've observed that until people have to make a stand and vote it's almost impossible to figure out intent.
If we don't kill (I think nokill is on, it could be off this game) then in the night wolves kill a town, and then what? No one had to make a hard stand, so we still don't have any info past that whoever died wasn't a wolf. It leads us no where. So then what, sleep again? Wolves kill another town and we're 2 down and oops, no one had to make a stand because "not enough info" and we're back on d0 with a horrible ratio of town vs wolves
Lynches yield info
Keep in mind that we win as a team: if someone does d0 but their team wins, they get the W too. We're not forcing someone to lose the game this quickly
if a wolf kills one of us, our voting odds only become better with time. we know they're only going to kill townies so the percentage of evil targets increases every round. if we're going to make an uninformed vote its better to do so when the odds are more favorable for us. The more nights that pass the more chances our Seer has to figure out who the wolves are.
I'm not trying to discourage lynching, i'm trying to discourage a zero-intel lynch at the worst possible time we could be lynching someone. your proposed strategy does not make sense.
I'm currently suspecting Lar and Charu as the two most probable evil-doers. If I'm not giving a convincing explaination on why this actually helps us in the next half hour, i'll be casting my vote for Charu.

look at me trying to sound smart and then putting a typo in my last post.
I'm still not convinced that a no-intel vote helps us and if I'm not given an explanation in the next half hour that demonstrates why the math do be in fact mathing on this, I'm placing my vote towards charu.

I truly get what you're getting at.
I was the same mindset AGES ago.
Please trust me when I say a low-poster / inactive is really bad for town. I've gone through SO MANY games where this happens and the wolves almost always make use of this to their advantage.

Re: TWG 206: Betrayal at House on the Hill GAME THREAD
Charu don't make me vote over you offering yourself.
Not really answering my question. You have limited time and supposedly read all the thread but your stances are suffice level "I don't agree with these two's game philosopher that got posted in the last half hour? You don't have any other thoughts on any other issues/players?Well, heres how i look at this-

No? Most of it was pretty mundane talk. You and Charu are, by far, the most suspicious just on the grounds that the two of you are standing fairly firm on your stance that this is beneficial and that we need to trust you.Charu don't make me vote over you offering yourself.

I don't trust you 2 farther than I can throw you. You both have a lot of experience- but that doesnt mean you have the towns best interest at heart.

I may not be a veteran of this game, but it doesnt take a veteran to see that it is in the werewolves best interest to vote off a random townie night 0. less of us to take our yourselves.

Re: TWG 206: Betrayal at House on the Hill GAME THREAD
Well Light, I'm willing to admit that you fully believe that voting d0 is bad and you're welcome to vote "sleep" if you don't want to do so, but I don't think it's optimal town play personally so I will not be following suit
I will however Unvote for now
If we do end up sleeping I expect you to prove how beneficial your plan was next phase, and show what additional info it gave usComment

Provided you don't kill me tonight, I will most certainly do my best to elucidate this for you.Well Light, I'm willing to admit that you fully believe that voting d0 is bad and you're welcome to vote "sleep" if you don't want to do so, but I don't think it's optimal town play personally so I will not be following suit

And at least if we make an uninformed vote in the coming days, our odds of hitting a wolf only increase. I'm still not ready to drop suspicion on you two though. I'd like to hear from some other townies

Re: TWG 206: Betrayal at House on the Hill GAME THREAD
I don't think sleeping is a good idea I think we should kill one of the inactives, probably Freezi
I don't want to vote for someone who offers themself up on a platter as Charu has... seems ickyComment

What is your rationale for wanting to cast a vote here? you're trustworthy.
