Re: Rate The Song Above You
What it had going for it was good, though it lacked depth. It kept returning to the same elements which made it feel kind of flat, with the feeling of background music more than something to immerse into. I think the song could have been condensed into a 2.5 minute song instead of a 6.5 minute one. 6.8/10

Re: Rate The Song Above You
Hmm... not generally into metal, I tried assessing it based on it's associated imagery, and aesthetic. It has a really strong and vivid atmosphere of a dense, prickly and uncomfortable forest of barbed wire trees, with demons every which way. The "voices" sounded more like an element of sound blending with the other elements of the music, it gave it a very intense atmosphere.
Not generally my thing, but I can appreciate what it does from my perspective. 7/10 Skip to 5:00 in if you're impatient. Past that the tune is so fukken lovely.

Re: Rate The Song Above You
I'm transported to 60's teenie-bopper movies with slow dance scenes and punks secretly spiking the punch
8/10 my brother got me random cds for christmas and he made me promise that I'd listen to them entirely the fantasia soundtrack I'm fine with this guy's "best of" from 2001, however... lmfao

Re: Rate The Song Above You
I must say this song makes me very happy/uplifted. It doesn't scream "ahaha everyone get drunk 'n party 2 my song" like some Deadmau5y shit. It's clean and uplifting and it sticks to it~ 8.5/10
My god this artist makes the strangest videos. If you haven't checked out her channel DO ITTTTTTTT (example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEoGQU_k78k)

The inconsistent tempo gives the whole song a disconnected feel. Some of the filters I find a little obnoxious, especially the vocals. And for Spenner's post: 8/10 Pretty interesting. The odd vocal timbre is hard to get used to, but the song is very well structured and original. Soundprank & Jaytech - Pranktech

I like how different instruments are layered but it felt like it dragged on without enough variation. This is also not what I normally listen to, so take it with a grain of salt. Last edited by FissionMailed1; 01-20-2013 at 09:53 PM.. |

Lovely. Vocals are great and they fit in very well with the style. I'll look into this artist some more. Andrew Bayer - Distractions, mov. 4

Not my usual style of music but I liked how it was chill without being boring. I'm in love with this. \/ P.S. I'm stupid and I don't know how to do the "show youtube" button. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VdAvIf1Nc4 |
