Re: FFR Suggestions
I'd like to know how many people would want that kind of a thing. Like a poll or something.

Re: FFR Suggestions
Good idea, but honestly unneeded. But no harm done and it would help get those wasteful antipa tokens out of the way
Also, would someone please make it so I don't have to click a page number to scroll pages in legacy? It's a bit annoying to see the page 18 or whatever it is cover the arrow. |

Re: FFR Suggestions
I think it could be very useful in seeing how you do at parts that are a little harder to read, to focus on PA and to know approx. how many non-perfects you have, especially with being able to turn off certain accuracy displays, which would come in handy otherwise too, like showing only boos and misses or something. I also just like to tell when I've gotten through really hard parts with all perfects; it helps me get a feel for how my fingers should tap when I know when I did it right.

Re: FFR Suggestions
Y'know, I think it'd be wise to keep working on Legacy engine as it's the default engine and what "newcomers" have to play on..and it's shit in it's current state, enough to drive people away from giving the game more than one go..And not everyone's gonna come to the forums just to see if there's any alternatives, it's inconvenient and unnecessary.

Re: FFR Suggestions
Your suggestion didn't go unheard, they just used an alternative answer (made velocity engine the default engine on the "FFR the Game" link and also put other engines to switch to while on that page)

Re: FFR Suggestions
There's nothing wrong with it. "Will you Marry Me" was a token and was disabled/removed, no need to "fix" the token numbers just because it was removed. We dont "fix" the level numbers every time a song is disabled/removed, so its not that big of a deal to do it here.

Re: FFR Suggestions
Please put the replay code on the replays page rather than having to click open each replay to get each code to copy paste them.
This would make scoredumping easier. |

Re: FFR Suggestions
arcnmx or w/e
is it possible to have songs on higher rates count in the levelranks? for example if i AAA strangeprogram on 1.2 rate, having it show up as a AAA on 1.0 rate but not lower rates (anything below 1.0 doesn't count in levelranks) let me know if this is a possibility l0l

Re: FFR Suggestions
I suggested this in the R^3 thread and most people were in favor, except OWA. Dunno if it will happen or not.

Re: FFR Suggestions
Argument is really dumb in my opinion. If you look at the responses of other players, they basically say "ooh it'll get me back into FFR if i can play easy songs on rates and have scores record".
Making FFR more fun and getting people to play it again? Definitely a bad idea right *sarcasm* |

Re: FFR Suggestions
punishing people for having a higher skill level is dumb
not rewarding lower skill players for rising up to a challenge is dumb too

Re: FFR Suggestions
right, that's why i said i don't agree with it. if i misquoted OWA, feel free to correct me. the amount of files i need to AAA that i know i can AAA is one of the reasons i don't play FFR anymore. i'd like to be able to play stuff on 1.5 to get it done quickly since playing them on 1.0 is basically me falling asleep on my keyboard.

Re: FFR Suggestions
I think saving scores for faster rates is not a good idea. While it generally takes a higher amount of skill to PA at higher rates, showing you have at least enough skill to get the same score on a slower rate, it is not the same as playing at normal rate. One reason for this is it would give people more opportunity to rush through songs for a quick FC, which could then lead to even more mashing for even more FCs. Especially on slower and/or longer songs that people do not want to wait through.
I dunno, not trying to come up with an arbitrary example to justify not allowing higher rate scores, just my two cents. AAA on higher rates may be harder to achieve, and therefore show more skill, but ultimately that is not the same as AAA on normal rate.
