Actually, Nintendo ditched Sony. Then Sony decided it wanted to go ahead and make a system, then proceeded to outsell Nintendo for the next two generations.

I love it when Nintendo fans try to say Sony ditched Nintendo. Nintendo ditched Sony for Panasonic to make a CD attachment for the SNES, so don't get all pissy because Sony actually did something RIGHT.

I am well aware that Sony branched off of Nintendo from Nintendo's mistake on the SNES fiasco.

I just hate Sony with a passion after all the crap they've done to their loyal fans.

Agreed. I also hate sony.

the PS3 sold out everywhere where I live, lol. And some guy I was playing CoH said he was buying only for the DVD player, since buying an actual blu-ray would be around 900$.

The release of the PS3 has caused havoc and chaos around USA. It's all the PS3's fault that the death toll has increased even more.

in my town most people are only buying a PS3 so they could sell it on Ebay for around 2k

I don't understand how this is going to work. All I hear is people want to buy the PS3 and sell it on EBay, but I never hear of people say, "I want to buy the PS3 to play."

How are we going to sell the PS3 if no one wants to play them. =[

I think it was Philips, but that's just nitpicking. Remember the Philips CD-i? That was the result of the forgotten attachment, if memory serves.

PS3 LOL 400,000 UNITS RITE?!

Talked to people in line about our distaste for the way Sony runs things these days. Turns out one of them was a specialist in marketing and launch quantities of various products. Turns out he knew Sony was lying about having 400,000 in America on launch day.

Worldwide, only 255,000 PS3s have been sold. 88,000 were Japan. At best, America only had about 170,000.

See what happens when you count "number sold" instead of "number shipped"?

And they have another shipment coming out next week.
