I wonder that too. When it is on, I see no difference except I seem to get better scores. It might be a coincidence.

when i do note, the arrows are red and blue or something like that

heh yeah, note makes the arrows be a different color based on where they fall on the beat. Red are 4ths, blue 8ths, yellow 16ths, brown 32nds, green 64ths (if you have alpha 10+) purple 12ths, pink 24ths, and i forgot what color 48ths are

nobody's impressed that I passed ice climber challenge? =\

48ths are light blue/aquaish. Best looking step in my opinion.

And GJ, Ice climb v2 challenge is great training, but I can't do the jackhammers on 1.1x music speed so I usually stay away from it.

ASB is easier than ice climber IMO. The only time I fail that is either in the section with the 2 doubles with singles in between (you know what I mean if you've played it

) or the jackhammer doubles near the end
I suck at single-double patterns though, so I fail a lot on that pattern in the middle of ice climber. I like half-mash part of it =\
