cam why are you still at coolies

Is that seriously your best exp rate? I would probably have deleted my character if I got to 8x and I still needed to do coolies.

I was only at coolies because I was training my sister. Then my priest friend came and I was at 95% so I was like, what the hell just level here. I'm usually at DTs, but even then when I grind, I get like 7% an hour. With a priest and a dk at MDTs or grims, I get like 25% an hour -__- So unfair.

Oh man, i played this today, for some reason it keeps disconnectiong me, but whatever, and the people keep on freezing, not that that will affect game play... -.-.

Anyways, i probably messed up big time, but atm, my character has something like this:

5/4/35/5 ?

The 35 is int, god knows how this account will turn out, chances are i messed up, but w/e, always good to try new things.

lvl 6 atm, w00t, ftw.

Looks like you are going to be a mage? Pure int? Looks good if that is what you are aiming for. Advance at level 8 in ellinia (wizard town) and you are good to go. Read some guides on http://www.hidden-street.net =)

- Warriors need STR and a lil' bit of DEX. (15 STR/10 DEX for every 5 levels)
- Rangers need DEX and a lil' bit of STR. (15 DEX/10 STR for every 5 levels)
- Thieves need DEX and LUK (15 LUK/10 DEX for every 5 levels)
- Mages need INT and LUK (15 INT/10 LUK for every 5 levels)

From the looks of it, it looks like you're set up for a Pure INT mage.

Ok, i have now changed it a bit, i now have over 40 INT (not sure of what it actually is, just bunged a load of random points into that section), and now 11 LUK, as people where saying that you should have 3 more LUK than your "combat" level thing.

So, lvl 40+ magic, now i actually am a magician (saw that uber old guy), and have 11 LUK, to even it out kind of.

Lol, this could all go horribly wrong, as this post did lol.

P.S, I have only been on it for 1 day, so if i don't know vocab, i have an excuse

EDIT: And "combat" lvl thing 8, if it wasn't already clear

You should have stuck to pure INT.

It's awesome.

And mages suck until they get a decent attack.

Mages with no added luk are stronger than mages who add luk.

Basically, luk does nothing for mages besides allow them to equip higher level gear. So, adding luk would only make you stronger, because without it, you'd never have a decent weapon. However, this is not true because there are MANY weapons with GOOD magic attack stats (ie comparable to what a wand or staff would be of that level) which actually require no luk at all.

And now I hear we got black umbrella in gach. So right now, all that mages with luk have over lukless are the fact that they can use booster. Sorry, but I'd say being much stronger is more than worth attacking a little more slowly.

EDIT: yeah, necamus is right there too... mages can't do any decent damage until they get a magic attack.

In general (as in, in real life, not just with games), if you don't know 100% for sure, don't give people advice. One clueless guy telling another clueless guy about something just spreads false info and makes everybody clueless.

I seriously need help on Maplestory. I have D/Led the .EXE client for Mapleglobal for the first time in over a year due to lack of internet access. When I finally got it installed, I went to run it, and a pop-up that said 'Failed in finding proper screen mode for Gr2d'. I'm at a complete loss. I have no idea what this is supposed to mean or how to fix it, and when I contacted Mapleglobal via Inqueries, the only reply I got back was 'Sorry. I don't know how to help you.'
I have had the biggest Maplestory craving since I bought my PC, and now that I have a cable modem, it falls just past my fingertips.
