Heroes
I just watched the pilot for this--I think it's supposed to actually air on TV September 2nd or so--and it's SO SO GOOD.
It's like X-men without Xavier's school as a focal point. And it's awesome. Has anyone heard anything else about it? I'm looking it up on Wikipedia and IMDB but there's really not much there.

Re: Heroes
Yeah, I watched it when I saw a teaser for it using Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek" (though edited) You can probably still find the pilot on YouTube. I had a bit of a problem with some wonky editing that I'm sure will be ironed out upon official release. Also- it seems like they tried a bit too hard to cram all the characters into the first episode. Honestly, a show like this needs to be drug out a bit longer than to have all of it's fuel burnt in the first episode (which, unless the larger part of the plot is really good, I feel this show has done).

Re: Heroes
I don't know, deltro, I thought the first episode did a really good job of introducing characters (and to paraphrase a friend) without tossing too much boring **** about people we don't care about at us like Lost. Plus, we're still missing a couple of the characters--they weren't crammed in.
I also think there's a big portion of the plot that will follow where the powers came from and why these people have them, besides the obvious of genetics and to save the world. That seems pretty good to me. And I got the pilot off of isohunt with no trouble at all.

I am bumping this because I started watching the second episode, and have followed it since them.
A damn good show. Much better then I expected. |

This show is freaking incredible. 4 srs. I laughed so hard at the "Save the cheerleader, save the world" think, though. |

Re: Heroes
Watch any non-pilot episode
I heard the pilot was way more boring then the rest. Like I said, I never saw the pilot. All I know, is I had episodes 2 and 3 sitting on TiVo last Sunday, and decided to watch them. They were holy shi awesome. 4 continued this trend. |

Re: Heroes
Okay tell him what his tastes should be even more mead. House I dislike and Prison Break started to suck starting with the last episode of the first season. So "nope, sorry".
I am loving this show. The first 4 episodes have been amazing. It's so intriguing and I'm very anxious for each episode. I really hope they can keep up the awesomeness. |

Re: Heroes
Was it just me guys, or did the actor who plays Hiro turn out to have a very good english accent? I was like "Wtf? that guy speaks english? And quite well..."
I mean, I figured he eventually would, but I thought it'd just be like bits and pieces here and there. I was distracted by that and missed his kick ass sword the first time I saw the scene, had to watch it again. P.S: House is okay, but Prison break? No way.

Re: Heroes
I liked the part when Hiro's friend asked him "who do you think you are? Super Hiro?"
Lol. I just hope it doesn't get too convoluted or convenient like Prison Break is getting. |
