The beats are spaced out further so it doesn't sound as fast. Considering true speed, you must take into account how the person perceives the song. A song at 150bpm with lots of 16ths sounds around as fast to a person as a song at 300 bpm with lots of 8ths.

Run the Place Red on the other hand, is at 225 bpm and is loaded with 16ths and 32nds...

Yeah, I was just being dumb. RTPR was really fast to me when I first heard it, too...

You plan to do any other Aphex Twin DWIs?

Maybe, right now I'm working on Go! Spastic by squarepusher, and Halicrafter by Richard Devine.

Go spastic runs at 200 bpm, and is fucking psycho. Halicrafter... I hope you like fast jackhammers and a song with no time sig.

Problem is a lot of it sucks so bad that I couldn't get through the DWI without ripping my ears off with a dull fork.

Edit: Actually after about the 10th bpm change at the 1:10 mark on halicrafter I'm ditching that. I think I'll go Do Ziggomatic v17 by aphex twin...

it is a fast song...

max300 is really like 150 bpm lol

its not 300, tap to the beat. you're double tapping if you get 300 :P

plus this is like 225x4= 900 arrows per minute.....some of those runs might even be 24ths? dunno...yea...thats fast...thats almost as fast as blur.

and some happy hardcore is pretty fast....i havn't heard anything by them that goes over 225 bpm though :S

Heh, I found a 230 BPM song. She Likes Pizza, by Banya. It's the fastest song on Pump It Up. I think I'll make a DWI of it...

Like 25%, out of all of the mixes. It's not like Taka/TaQ/Naoki where 80% of the songs on every mix are by them.

Have you seen the actual reality of a monsters cry?
Or only an illusion?
The product of a tortured brain...
Sucking the hallucinitory acid into the system...
