Making SIMS out of my OWN Songs?

ok, im trying to make a Steps out of my own songs, but to (load them/ Edit them in stepmania...) you have to have an SM file originally (see pic) But to make an SM file... You have to click on Edit/Sync Songs right... So i tried taking Steps from another song... then editing it, but it wont recognize that song.... (see other pic) Where can I make an SM page, wheather it only has one single note... lol... then edit it to my song??

2nd pic came out blurry, but its a song from itunes, a Backdrop img, and a Banner IMG with the words SM FILE... lol

I think im close.... what am i missing.. I think thats a DWI file.. but i still can't get stepmania to recognize its there... 2nd IMG is my DWI

Open 'gap'. File, Save As, under 'Save as Type', click 'All Files'. Rename 'gap' to 'gap.dwi'.

BE VARY CAREFUL NOT TO ACCIDENTLY SAVE IT AS GAP.DWI.TXT.

If you use notepad, click on the file type pull-down menu and change "Text Files (.txt)" to "All Files."

Extremely important. Otherwise it saves as a .txt file.

oh and.. one more thing if its not too much trouble...
i have another song.. that i got on it b4... (then lost that menu) but now i want it on renosance... but it asks for a "zip" WHAT?

(sorry if that belongs elsewhere, but im tired... lol)

You need to zip up the entire song folder using WinZIP. You'll create a "song.zip" file that contains your entire folder, and that's what you try to upload.
