I don't have any screens to post up, purely because have you ever felt like you were doing amazing, but everytime you finished a song it was horrible?
Yeah, happened to me. Felt like I was on fire tonight but instead got: Chik Habit heavy - 174 mil B (Best is 180 mil A) MSWGO - 222 mil C (Best is 235 mil B) At the same time I did my best at Death Moon Edit (got at least 1/2 through it if not more) and almost passed Amber Shores. How this is possible when I was getting crappy scores is beyond me. I'm going to bed. Yeah, this isn't a brag. |

I still can't beat 180 mil on it for some strange reason. I don't know if it's honestly me or the scoring system but I feel like I'm doing better. I'll need to take screenshots in the future and compare them with it to see where I'm going wrong.
I'll get the AAA soon. I need to not be working 4 nights in a row which completely drains my energy heh. Still passed MSWGO while playing bad though =[ Oh and Mclaren - Where's your pass then? |

I havn't played chik habit but I'm guessing it's pretty hard and has a lot of mashing? In that case, you're probably mashing in a different way now, getting solely goods and greats instead of getting a couple of marvs/perfs and then getting some greats and cbs in there. If you mash something getting only greats and goods and a couple of boos your lifebar won't move so you'll feel like you're doing better then you did before when you were hitting some stuff accurately and missed a lot. The machine score in the later case gets way higher.
I remember this happening to me once back when I thought passage D was pretty hard. My best score on it was like 84mill A and I had a run on it I thought was sick, I had like full lifebar the whole way, when the score popped up and said 78mill B I was like WHAAAT. I was because I started mashing on the big quadmashes too early and therefore good/great-raced the whole thing and didn't lose lifebar. [/stepmania essay]

Glove - so how would I go about fixing that? Up my Cmod, just keep trying to get out of the habit, or what?

Just played it, it isn't really hard that you just need to be fast. I didn't mash anything and it felt pretty FCable. Just try to read everything and hit it properly, it's just all about speed.
