flypie you really need to work on composition. You can get good colors and levels and everything, but your composition really really needs work.

All taken from a trip to China 2 summers ago.

This one might have been on a different trip...

No guard rails...

This region is so poor. I think I was in the southwest corner, near the Indian border. Some of the hotels in the area were... dirty. Every time we wnet to eat, I prayed all the dishes had been washed. I should have taken a picture of the bathrooms in the restraunts... it's hard to pee when the bathroom is just a big trough and there are 3 guys next to you and you've got flies buzzing around your...

From Jewpins down just look like pictures that were taken on the convinience of a vacation. I really like your photos Flypie, they're awesome. I'm not a fan of the dark room style dog though. It makes the dog look like it's wet, and they're both off-center. Oh but I love that picture of the ocean on the first page. I like how you captured the waves at the beginning of their crumble so that the ocean looked like a wall of water that could be sliced like a pie.

the ocean one, i thought would work with color since you were going for a sunset look, water looks like it would have some vast detail in color.

is it possible to put film stuff in photoshop or do you think scanners have done enough.

i like the acorn photo. it was perfect. if cropped you wouldnt see the "dust" that people were talking about.

okk...aren't you a know it all then
